GTA V Map Leaked via Strategy Guide

To the people complaining about the size of the map. It's not really important how "big" the map is but what content it brings the player. Judging by the size of the strategy guide thats a lot of content. R* never disappoints so lets just wait and see.

First of the scale bar is cut, so 1 km is more than on the bar you used

 

Add to that that landmass isn't a rectangle so you must subtract some square miles.

 

GTA V landmass is between 30-40 square miles I think

 

 

 

No Mamunda - someone worked out the landmass is 17.4 sq miles. Look closely at the scale. That is only 2000ft of the 3000ft scale visible !....

I think the houses are only shown through the internet site and maybe when u buy them, u get them on the map idk

The purple icons with the dollar sign are definitely either businesses you can purchase/invest in and safehouses and stores you can hold up (liquor stores, convenience stores) are on other maps in the strategy guide.

 

Or this is the activities map that includes tennis, golf, movies, strip clubs, parachuting, races etc and the purple icons are businesses you can hold up (most likely considering the leaked achievement for doing so) and the safehouses will still be on another map

If anyone actually took the time to follow the Mapping Thread then you'd all know what to expect. They did all the work for us. This is really no surprise. It still looks massive.

I'd count sea as you can explore it.

 

You wanna see how huge is GTAV map?

 

Step one; zoom until you get map a bit pixelized, imagine a car in a scale of the road that you're looking at.

That car is 1/3 of the road of you're looking at, you can run around the car, jump on it, burn it, hit it, run into it.

 

Step two; now slowly unzoom and check out the whole map.

Now, I agree with your statement, so this isn't directed at you, but rather, the masses... why do people discredit stuff so quickly? Lol. On this forum, you see a post and like 30 seconds later it's locked (if it's a new thread) and it's deemed fake.

 

I remember I posted real GTA V information and it was deemed fake and locked immediately until I was like "WTF???" and asked why and after looking again, they unlocked again, but still, I notice it's a common theme.

 

I'm not sure if people are trolling or if we have some Rockstar employees in here (I'm almost positive that is the case, always), but it's hard to tell sometimes if people discredit based on fact or troll...

Its a strategy guide so ofc its going to tell you where they are. Its basically a cheat guide.
