Can Protagonists change clothes when they are doing their own thing?

So say I am playing with Micheal, or Trevor, will Franklin change his clothes when he is doing his own thing, or is that asking for too much?

When they do their own thing, he can do his and when he is not doing any thing, you are actually doing others thing so when ever you do any ones thing you can do any thing except others cant do anything

At one point Trevor wakes up in his underwear on the beach, which means he took off his own clothes which also means that characters will change their outfits on their own, which worries me.

 

If I've dressed them up a certain way I don't want to constantly have to drive back to their homes and put them in that outfit again and again.

Yeah I had a feeling it was in but then again no because how does he wear clothes you don't own (I assume you only have limited amounts of starter clothes)
but I guess it would be cool, not every single time you switch back obviously, but maybe every 6 in game hours (:

The odd event as mentioned before..

 

I highly doubt they change their clothes all the time, that would defeat the point of player customization otherwise.
