Would you play a GTA RPG?

Imagine a Grand Theft Auto RPG. Skill trees, guns with different stats, (human) boss battles. It may not sound like GTA, but what if it was made by Rockstar under the GTA license?

If done right and not in your usual 'Level up your character and become the ultimate hero' way that everyone else does.

 

Instead of upgrading the protagonist, you expand your empire. Power is money. The more money you have, the more pull you and your organisation will have in the the game.

Who the hell wouldn't who loves the GTA franchise? I think they'd make the most MMORPG in the world, and I think it would be very interesting.... APB had a lot of potential but i think failed

I like all genres, and a good game is a good game regardless of the genre. So any GTA that is good, I would play.

I've been wanting for a modern/now-a-days well done RPGS for a very long time (not like mass effect), if its given as much love as GTA V at the moment by Rockstar, I'd definitely play it.

NO I would much rather Rockstar make a RPG game. with look & mechanics of GTAV but set in Fantasy time.....

 

I believe they would crush Elderscrolls. I used to be big on Elderscrolls, but theyve been dropping the ball... and their new MMO doesnt look too promising

No way, it would take a lot to create the lore that can ever compare to TES lore. GTA games are deep in their own right, but let's be real, TES has a lore that spans mienia and it's all to be discovered in the books, ruins etc.. that's a huge amount of work that can't be created with ease.
