Congratulations this is the most retarded thread I've ever seen on the forum. Where on earth did I infer that cops are not normal people? I simply stated that cops have one of the most stressful jobs (depending on location, of course) than most people and that it probably has an impact on their daily life. I'm studying it and I'm pretty sure you aren't a cop, so I find it disrespectful that you think that someone who risks their life everyday can just play video games like its nbd. Um... You're implying they aren't normal people by making this thread. You're also raising the bar for them, implying they are above everyone else by mentioning how they risk their lives. Newsflash, a lot of cops only became cops for power. Yes, a lot of cops also love the job and love helping people too. Cops play video games too. Real criminals live the life they don't never ever "clock out". I don't blame cops for being regular slobs. I bet crime does drop down a lot this fall though. If you take the job home with you, you are going to have problems. It's not easy and sometimes it's not even possible, but you have to learn to seperate your personal life from your career. I know a lot of officers who are always buffing out and acting like they are on duty 24/7. F*ck that. When my shift ends, it ends. That's not to say if I see something go down when I'm off duty I won't intervene, I absolutely will. I took an oath to protect and serve my city and I will always be faithful to that. But when I'm home with my family, I keep the job as far away from my mind as I can. Video games absolutely help with that. So does watching movies, riding my bike, playing sports, etc. I was 14 years old when Grand Theft Auto first came out for PC, and I played it like crazy. I've been a fan from the start and will continue to be a fan as long as they make GTA games. I'm as excited for GTA V as anyone else. And yes. I go on police killing sprees in the games! Why would it be disrespectful to suggest that cops can play video games? I would suggest that having a stressful job is even more reason to play video games. And you inferred that they aren't normal people with the premise of the thread. What I found disrespectful was his response to, what I thought, was a interesting topic to discuss. Obviously some or hell even most cops play GTA/video games, but that wasn't really the point of this thread. It was more of a topic to discuss then a direct question: "Do cops play Grand Theft Auto? Y/N". I love the fact that cops play GTA, I think it's cool. Oh and again, I wasn't trying to imply that cops aren't normal people. Rather, I'm saying that, due to the nature of their job, their perspective on things is a lot different than most people. Can we agree on that? Like a stress reliever. Then (i think) someone asked if he shoots cops in the game and he said yeah, and people acted like that was a big deal. The fact is that a police understands that this is a game and not some training simulator of perpetuate violence. Many people look at GTA as a escape from reality and that's how pigs look at it too, I guess How bout you treat them like people and don't call them pigs asshole. I wholeheartedly agree. Same applies with military and any other job that puts your life at risk... that's not implying that their above anyone, it's just the facts. The fact that you're offended by this shows that you have no respect for cops, which doesn't surprise me these days. Yeah, theres bad cops out there but at the end of the day they made a difference.
