Marking points of interest on the Map

I attempted to search for a related topic and nothing came up, so forgive me if this has been covered before, but I think the ability to mark interesting locations on our in-game map would be very useful.

 

Has there been any word of this?

It definitely is one. I believe Chinatown Wars had a system like this that involved allowing to save locations to your Favorites, allowing you to go back and set markers from the Favorites at any time. It was a very useful feature and it's welcome to return in GTA V

Makes sense with GPS. I mean you can save your favorite POI's. Hmmm 7 more days..

Would be a nice feature to have. Especially for underwater areas etc. It could get tricky down there.

he doesnt mean mark a spot on the map and go to it, he means save multiple places so you can instantly get directions back to them, the same way a real GPS can save addresses.

Ah..well OP, after you remember the map after a few play throughs of the game. Your favorite destinations should be knowledgeable. But yes, I would like this as an option in the game.
