Anyone else have a problem with Franklin's Lack of gun continuity

At first i thought they got it right he's holding his gun sideways with 1 hand like he's supposed to, then he starts holding it straight up aiming with 2 hands looking right down the barrel. It didn't look right, it makes Franklin lose street credibility.

He even holds the sniper completely vertical, everyone on the street knows it should be held at a slant. Franklins not supposed to lean over to look into the scope, the scope supposed to come to him.

I'm not saying they need to do a mass recall, but they need to make a patch to fix that sh*t I can't take Franklin serious with that soft ass aim.

Aiming the correct way is soft? lol

I shoot guns a lot and I MEAN A LOT. I'm a country boy, what do you expect?

Of All men and women that I shoot with/shot with over the last 35 years, I have never, EVER seen one of them shoot sideways. Not one. Only in a rap vid do I see this. What ya'll don't understand is that it lessens your aim by at least 50%. None of you could hit the broad side of a barn! If you ask me, Franklin would lose all cred if she fired his pistol sideways. That would mean he knows absolutely NOTHING about guns and I can't be in a gun fight with some idiot shootin' sideways, who knows nothing about guns or aiming!! Ya dig?

If you feel the best way to hold a gun is sideways, you're either an idiot or a wannabe. The only reason you should ever hold a gun sideways is if you have a severe shoulder injury that prevents you from holding a gun straight. But Franklin loses 'street cred' and it looks cool you say? No, it doesn't. Realistically, it would make you look like a complete retard and it will be next to impossible to hit the broad side of a barn.

Plus, we have to remember that Franklin is trying to get away from the gangsta life. He can start by holding a weapon correctly.

Best thread EVAR. Seriously, though, ArcaneKnight is either an obvious troll or impeccably stupid.

In his defense, though: Center Axis Relock. Still two hands, but tilt that weapon 45 degrees and aim with the eye on your weak side. It is mainly used with sidearms, but I saw somewhere it has been adapted for shotguns, submachine guns, and rifles. Not half bad really, a point shooting system that emphasizes the use of your entire body in close quarters situations and allows for greater muzzle control and weapon retention for unexpected SHTF moments. Murder time fun time.

Here's what I think, for whatever that's worth.

Stats are making a comeback right?

Well, then when we first meet Franklin, he holds his gun sideways. He's inexperienced and doesn't realize that holding/firing a weapon in this fashion is, for lack of a better word, retarded. As Franklin gains experience with weapons, the way he holds them will change, and as a result he will hold his weapons correctly.

Not that hard to jump to that conclusion is it?

Oh God damnit. I didn't realize this was an ArcaneKnight thread.

This thread is idiotic. You're complaining that he loses street credibility because the gun isn't slanted. You're some ignorant kid that knows nothing. Staahp.

I hope the shotgun doesn't recoil like that in the final game, and also if he could manage to actually hit the camera, that would be great.

It means they didn't make franklins character thorough. He's not a genuine thug.

He puts on a front for the hood, then shows up and tries to be all sophisticated when he's around successful people like Michael and Trevor.

Real recognize real and that's what I call fakin and fronting. I lost respect for Franklin now and I can't take him as seriously as before. I thought they were going to be able to get his character right too. #letdown

yea because Trevor's successful and sophisticated...

I completely missed the sarcastic nature of this topic. My bad.

@rodneythesavior

I said pretty much the same thing on the first page.

That wouldn't really explain why his hip fire animation (and everyone else's) has him aiming down the sights instead of, you know, from the hip.

Arcane has been a troll from the start, what i can't believe is people take all his threads seriously and can't see he is talking out of his ass.

Holding guns slanted or upside down is something you see in movies, rap music clips or when hood rats are posing..

Anyone that actually wants to hit what they're aiming at holds their gun properly...

Street Cred my ass.

Trevor is retired military, that makes him successful. High society would look down on Franklin, they wouldn't look down on Trevor. People support their troops and have respect for their veterans.

Nobody sympathizes with street thugs thats why we have to demand our respect. We demand respect when we hold our guns like that, that's the way you hold a gun when you're not taking no for an answer. Hold the gun like that when you want to show you mean business that's how you get people's cooperation. You all know you wouldn't say sh*t to someone in the street that was holding their gun to the side. You know its a death wish that's why

I wouldn't be surprised if Franklin originally holds the gun side-ways and then Michael ends up telling him off for it, what with Michael being the arms expert and all. It'd make for some neat dialogue, but it probably won't happen.

Along with being a cutscene, that's not an unrealistic level of recoil for firing a lightweight, sawed-off 12 gauge with one hand. Normally you're lucky not to get bashed in the nose from doing that.

Maybe its affected by his shooting stats so u would probably see michael hold it like a pro and franklin like a semi pro gang banger. This could be online aswell

I tried shooting a bottle while holding a gun sideways once , I missed 3 times in a row

That's what I was thinking, that it would leave an impression on his face.

What if he starts out as a one handed/sideways shooter but as that skill progresses he begins to handle the weapon(s) correctly. CJ did that in SA. He'd begin to hip-fire then as that skill progressed, it eventually got to shoulder aiming.

You do realise the recoil was because he shot it with one hand...right?

Why don't you try firing a shotgun with one hand and seeing how stable it is.
