The snowy areas in RDR made you feel like you were very, very far away from the games mostly desert settings. GTA usually happens during summer...The NASCAR pictures are either late February or between late August to early October depending on what year it was taken. That being said I'm pretty sure that IV/EpLC take place in either Fall or Spring as most of the peds are wearing Winter jackets. I tried looking at the newspapers & magazines to see if there was a month printed on them but I couldn't make anything that small out. They introduced days in IV (atleast I don't remember having them before IV) so it's entirely possible they will introduce seasons in V. EDIT: Just fired up IV and looked around, it's deffinitly set in Fall as there are trees that have non-green leaves entirely or trees that appear to have a mixture of green & fall foliage leaves.
