Are you moving on to the Next Generation?

It would be kinda stupid to get GTA V on September, then drop the old console in November. I'll continue playing the PS3 until christmas 2014, you know, when the price usually drop. I don't care about getting the PS4 late, I only want my precious GTA V.

I have been in the next generation since I built my monster PC 5 years ago. In fact by the time PS4 and XB1 come out, I'll be in the next NEXT generation.

 

Anyone with a brain, build a PC instead of overpaying for these new consoles. You could have a beast twice as powerful as PS4 or XB1 for around the same price. Then grab a console when it goes down to a reasonable price. Almost all of the games released on consoles are released on PC nowadays anyway.

Unfortunately my days of gaming are almost completely behind me. After GTA V officially releases, the only other game I'm really looking forward to is Metal Gear Solid V. After that, I don't really plan on buying or playing video games any more, so a next gen console doesn't appeal to me in the least. My PS3 will be my final console.

i got my GTA V and Gran Turismo 6 for my ps3, that means month f gaming for me.

 

bying a ps4 will only result i me wasting money on games i don't really need, but buys only to kill time until a new Uncharted, GTA VI or Gran Turismo 7 comes out

I'm waiting for a price drop and/or second model before I get any next gen system. I'll be playing gta 5 and finishing all my other games on this gen in the meantime.

Nothing that I want for the next gen that won`t come to PC, so far.

 

This current gen will be GTA 5 + Beyond Two Souls. The rest is PC only content (ARMA 3 and Day Z).

 

IF something really spectacular comes up for next gen, I might consider buying a PS4. But it is a really long shot.

Do please list a full PC configuration in here that can play GTA 5 at max settings, for 400$. That means display + mouse/keyboard + case + mobo + cpu + gpu + hdd + psu, because, when GTA 4 was ported to PC, it was awfully crappy, due to it wanting multi-core in a market that was just going towards them, so only 1000$+ gaming PCs could play it at decent settings... and that shadow was a killer for that price range.

First of all, you can't build a pc that matches the ps4 for $400 so stfu you are so full of sh*t.

 

Second of all, GTA V will be coming out on ps4 and X1, the consoles are so similar to pc that it would be fairly easy to port them from the pc version or vice versa and highly profitable while they are at it. Nowhere has rockstar flat out said "GTA v is not coming out on ps4 and x1" so stop spreading this bs.

I would have upgraded straight away if GTAV was released earlier then September. I just think that 2 months is not enough time to get 100% out of GTA entertainment and money wise, so I'll be sticking with my PS3 for quite some time.

Same here, exactly. I won't be needing a new console until Rockstar makes a totally kick-ass open-world game only for the next gen.

 

As I said in a similar thread, after 12 to 18 months of disappointing next gen console sales, Sony and Microsoft will be begging Rockstar to create some incredible next-gen GTA DLC to kick-start the necessary momentum into next-gen sales. Otherwise, next-gen has no real value.
