GTA V & Gran Turismo 6 will be the last current gen games I'll buy, and what I way to end!!! GTA V & GT6 will be PLENTY to keep my gaming needs occupied well into next year

 

I'm really trying to resist the urge to Django unchained on my bank account and get Battlefield 4 & a PS4 on launch.... I'd need a truly legendary game to release to just cave in like that though..... then again MGS5 is coming out on PS4 -.-

 

But knowing me I'll wait for a PS4 slim

I'll probably just buy a new computer instead of a console for next gen. From what I've seen of the consoles so far, I'm not impressed at all. I have an XBox 360 now, but after all that crap Microsoft pulled there's no way I'll ever get an XBox One. If I do ever get a next gen console (maybe in late 2014 or 2015) its gonna be a PS4 for sure.

No hurry to jump to next gen there are a lot of games I have yet to play such as Borderlands 2, The Last of Us, and Skyrim. Plus this fall there is some good looking games I want to play as well. In fact if GTA V was not releasing next week I would pick up Kingdom Hearts HD

I purchased new ps3 specifically for GTAV.. I have no interest in next gen at the moment. This game covers all the things I like in gaming. If it is continually expanded I see no reason to move on for a good few years.

not making the same mistakes i always do this time... i'll buy the next gen for gta VI or atleast 2/3 or maybe 4 years after the first model comes out ... in the meantime i'll buy a kickass PC

By the time there is a good lineup of games for the new consoles, we are 2 years further. So i'll just wait till then to purchase a new console.

I have no reason to get a PS4 right now, as two of the three games that I pay are coming out for current Gen, GTA V and GT6, so I am in no rush to by a new system right now

People will be picking dumb sides for a dumb console war and I will just be sitting there with a PC, PS3 ,PS4, X360, Vita TV, and Xbox One. My college GPA will be terrible.

I'm sticking with current gen for awhile, probably Spring or Summer of next year I'll buy a PS4.

If GTA 5 comes out for next gen though, it will be the only game I will ever be more than happy to buy twice.

I wasn't going to buy it anyway this year, let alone that i couldn't even afford it, but the Xbox One is not coming out in my country this year. I am going for a Xbox One first and later on for the PS4. But honestly...i could do another year EASILY with my 360 with a game like GTA V, i mean...i've played IV to death so many time and i still have a few unfinished games next to it. And Rockstar themselves said it..they didn't see anything on next gen that is close to this, or they said something along those lines. And i cant disagree with that. Watch_Dogs? Hell no, have lots of doubts about it. Dead Rising 3? Sure looks like a real fun game, but do i need it so bad? Nah not at all. And so on.....i'm not in a hurry at all.

 

Sure it's awesome to experience that 'awwweeesommeee a brand new console is here' feeling again, but its not that i need it so bad. But when i can afford it next year, i know i will be buying one. But V will be played for a looooooooooong ass time to come. Thats why i HATE it that the consoles are not backwards compatible.

It blows my mind to think what Rockstar will be able to do with 8GB of RAM.

I have been in the next generation since I built my monster PC 5 years ago. In fact by the time PS4 and XB1 come out, I'll be in the next NEXT generation.

 

Anyone with a brain, build a PC instead of overpaying for these new consoles. You could have a beast twice as powerful as PS4 or XB1 for around the same price. Then grab a console when it goes down to a reasonable price. Almost all of the games released on consoles are released on PC nowadays anyway.

I still have a PS4, Watch Dogs, and BF4 on pre-order. I've been leaning toward canceling it ever since the GTA Online launch trailer, though. Unless GTA Online disappoints somehow, I'll be canceling my pre-order in early October.
