Are you moving on to the Next Generation?

The next generation of systems is on the horizon. Rockstar has clarified that 'GTA V' will not be coming to the PS4 or Xbox One. They could just be saying this in order to make more sales for the current generation of systems, in hopes that no one will hold out for a better version. In all reality, GTA V for the next generation is most likely a lost hope.

So, here is my question. Are you going to stay with your PS3/360 and continue to play GTA V way into next year, or are you going to move on in hopes of a re-release for the next generation? Will the two months in between GTA V's release and the PS4/Xbox One Launch be enough to satisfy you? I know some people are going to sell their current generation systems in order to pay for the new one's in November.

Same here. This generation is going out with a bang. I would try Beyond: Two Souls, but I feel like it's coming out too late.

I'm going to keep playing on my current console for the time being. Maybe around Christmas time I might consider getting an Xbox One.

i agree, GTA is gonna push the 360 and ps3 as far as they can go. Im kinda hoping the port it over after a year or so.

I probably wont buy a next gen console until there's at least 3 games I want. I didn't buy my PS3 until 2008 so waiting isn't a big deal. Currently, everything on next gen looks a little boring, so I'll be keeping my PS3 and playing GTA 5 for a very long time.

Agreed sad to see them go but I will keep my ps3 til it dies. I still have my orginial super nintendo hooked up to my tv in the living room works great. My original ps3 is in the attic and it wont function properly anymore.

My PS4 and a couple games are already pre-ordered but will continue to play GTA V/GTA Online on my 360 until GTA Online transitions to next Gen then I'll be playing next gen exclusively, adios 360/ps3

I won't buy PS4 until I see the games I want, or, unless something with killer graphics/open world comes along. Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or a R* is about the only motive to get me to buy a new system. I might get one in a couple years, again, unless some cool game comes along.

I've only recently made the switch from PC to Console!

i got the X-Box 360 mainly to play GTAV when it 1st comes out coz im fed up waiting an extra 6 months for it to be released on PC

also my PC is getting old and struggling to run the newest games and it was a choice of £160 for a console or £2000 for new PC so do the math

i will prolly wait a good 6 months after the next gen consoles have been released before considering getting 1 or even getting new PC

If the ps4 was to be backwards compatible I would be all over it, considering I have dropped so much cash on games this year between Tour De France (ps3), The Last of Us, (ps3) GTA:V (ps3) and watch dogs (Ps3) it just would not work for me

Two months is nowhere near enough time for GTA V in my opinion. I pre ordered a PS4 and a few games for it but I'll definitely still play my PS3 for GTA V.

Someday I'll buy a PS4. Right now I'm only interested in MGS V and Watch Dogs on next gen, but MGS is looking mighty fine on PS3 and Watch Dogs won't be as good as GTA anyway (gameplay wise), so I don't even know if I'm buying it at ALL

I only ever purchase a new gen console for GTA.

 

Got my first PS2 for GTA III

Got my first PS3 for GTA IV

And probably won't buy a PS4 until GTA VI is released

Your poll sux man, theres no option to vote no to getting a new system. Im certain that im done buying consoles after the ps3 and xbox. My xbox will most likey be trashed years from now when i get tired of gta 5 or ot RROD. And my ps3 i dont see it going anywhere as its what i use to watch blue rays.

 

So o am not moving on to the next generation. Ever. Im done with console gaming, and possibly gaming in general inless of course a new gta comes out that proves to top gta 5... But we'll see.

Nope, was gonna leave it a year or two to ensure any issues were ironed out before I jumped in. I didn't get my 360 until about 2 or 3 years after release so no rush. Got GTA5 and GTA Online to keep me happy.

Will be playing GTA5, BF4, and GT6 on PS3.
