RockStarG
Has there been a preview that discusses sound? I remember GTA IV took a HUGE leap with audio but there were still certain weapons that sounded a little goofy. Can anyone throw me a link if there is a preview where they talk about if the sound has been enhanced at all? I thought the audio in GTA IV was awesome, but some things could be better... What do you think? Edited September 9, 2013 by RockStarG
yungkrease
It'll sound better. I remember playing gta sa for the first time and it sounded like pellet guns. I hope it sounds so good it'll scare the sh*t outta me when I shoot someone. I'm wearing headphones for better sound
Epsimrove
Turn your volume up enough to puncture your ear drums; real gun shots yes! Edited September 9, 2013 by Epsimrove
Organ-Donor
I think the gunshots need to echo a bit. And car sounds were bad in IV, hope they got improved.
IAMSHUGO
I'm sure all sounds have vastly improved, but yeah, vehicle sounds in IV got annoying after a while (especially sports bikes).
stobe187
Max Payne 3 had very good gun sound effects, so it should be fine! Bobbyleez

AtomicPunk
I hope cars sound more realistic. Hot rods should sound bad a**. Big, lifted trucks should sound bad a**. Rice burners should sound like rice burners. I also hope that the horns match the vehicle. I was always put off by driving a big car and it having a japenese-sounding, small car horn. Or a rig having a motorcycle horn. Guns need to be more punchy too.
Marty892
Overall IV sounds were very good, besides vehicles sounds. They were BAD, engines sounds like sh*t, only idle sound was good. I think R* totally changed that now, because of engine customization, so I hope it's much better.
Bobbyleez
Max Payne 3 had very good gun sound effects, so it should be fine! Quoted for truth! MP3 had it perfectly!
killahmatic
judging by the trailers the weapon sounds are way better than IV. IV was way better than SA, but when I got RDR I couldnt stand the IV sounds anymore. Looks like V's sounds will be awesome.
stobe187
And of course it all depends a bit on your audio equipment of choice. I have a couple of Radiotehnika S-90B (made in USSR) big-ass speakers which are a pretty good fit for gaming. Loud and warm, but not without the midranges. For PS3 I'll definitely try out the 7.1 surround headphones I have (the Sony 99 bucks ones) and I expect nighttime in the backwoods of Blaine County to sound f*cking spooky and great. Can't wait! Hakosuka
The cars should sound like Forza cars . I want my cars to strike fear into people by just revving the engine. Edited September 9, 2013 by Hakosuka
John Footpenis
From what I can tell in the online trailer the Comet sounds more like a powerful Porsche V6 than before. That's a good sign.
TechNoir87
I think they'll be improved, I heard how the cars sound in all the trailers, sounds more realistic.
