If I were to be at gamestop by 11:00 or 11:30 would that be okay or do you have to be there at a certain time? I never really done the midnight releases. I will probably get out early enough. If not i'd rather be with my dad anyway and will just pick it up on the 17th. I was just curious because I only been to one midnight release a long time ago and they were weird with the people who showed up at like 11:45ish... I had to be there at like 9 or something and I just sit in my car and listen to music lol. I'll probably just pick it up on the 17th. Is there a certain time with most gamestops they like you to be there though for future notice? Most people like the overall atmosphere of waiting in line with a bunch of guys who are just excited as you, but I've showed up to a midnight launch multiple times around 12:30 when there aren't many people left just so I could walk in and walk out quickly. Righton that sounds like what I will probably do. I got massive social anxiety and hate standing in lines etc. I may just pick it up in the morning on the 17th too. Thanks everyone. To answer your question OP you can go there as early as you would like that day, I believe. For all of the Call of Dutys I got there around 8pm and was around 10th in line and waited for 4 hours. You can easily just go at 11 and get a decent spot. If your local gamestop manager isn't retarded they will have a familiarized system planned so the line moves super fast. We don't know how big the shop is, how many people have preordered from said shop, we don't know if the person serving is actually a meerkat in disguise... if your worried, get there earlier, if your not, rock up at midnight. They encourage people to come a little earlier to pay off their preorder so that when 12;00 comes along everybody is in and out as soon as possible. I'll probably roll up around 9:30/10pm so I can find somewhere to park (there's no car parks near the place and its in a big busy town) So I'll rock up take a ticket and probably go sit back in the car if the weathers bad or the crowd is bad. Their official launch party thing starts at like 9:00 PM, but you can go really any time to pay off your copy. Then at midnight everyone will have already paid, so you just get in line & walk up, they hand you your copy, & you leave. Thats it. They are supposed to hand out 500 copies in about 15 minutes.
