go to around 10:23 and you will hear them say that they think GTA IV had around 70 missions not GTA V

I'm actually one of those people that finish GTAs so the longer is usually better, but until I actually play the game I don't know if I'll be satisfied. I mean they're could be fewer missions but they take longer to complete.

70 missions is definitely alot, but I expected them to top SA's amount, since it's going to be the biggest gta ever. If the missions are fun enough 70 will do fine though.

It is important to remember that the first 20 or so missions from GTA IV are slow, simple, tutorial-style tasks, teaching the inexperienced how to press a trigger to shoot and how to log onto a computer. Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that V's early missions could be equally as tricky as later on in the story? If so, I imagine V being like IV's story length - without the stretched-out introduction.

I voted to be unsatisfied at first since if sounded definitely shorter than IV, but looking at how most comments deny the said 76 missions quantity and reconsidering my opinion even if there are 76, I decided to abstain from voting.

 

I think it depends instead on how the missions themselves are structured. It really doesn't matter to have 100+ missions if they are boring and bland, I prefer to have a smaller and yet variate and fun amount. Like many said in this thread, as great as IV might have been, after a certain point missions really didn't felt all that interesting. It seems like they've learned to do it right with TBoGT and I'm glad they seem to be taking a different approach in V, hopefully the vast majority of missions will be fun this time around.

its confusing people caause morons dont want to believe its 70 cause they think its too few. meanwhile a f*ckin Magazin with 10 subscribers could talk about a cool new feature and noone doubts it.

R* said its less than 90 missions. so a number of 70 something plus 6 main heists sounds more than obvious.

I've read an article (not in english) where they said we've seen parts r they've been talking about the first 14 missions, out of around 90. So there are many claims but none is a confirmation, so better wait and see how it ends.

That's good, a huge world and all those missions is plenty for me. If I remember correctly RDR had about 50-odd missions which was actually pretty decent as well, given how huge RDR felt. So I'm content with that amount.

70 Story Missions plus 6 heists(Some heists with sub missions aswell) seems enough. But im still not sold that the information is correct, Has it been officially announced by Rockstar that this info is correct?.

70 Missions is more than enough. Plus, I think everyone is forgetting the 700 MISSIONS ONLINE + FUTURE CONTENT BY OTHER PLAYERS.

There was 70 missions, a year ago. The game was also delayed 6 months and they did not have confirmation of the final product.

 

A recent review states there is over 100 hours of gameplay. I am expecting more than 70.

70 PLUS the heists suits me perfectly. I welcome an unlimited amount because I am such a nut for GTA, and 70 including the heists may have been a bit bare, but 70 PLUS heists PLUS side missions etc is absolutely wonderful.

 

Then again we still have NO idea what it really is. all the info on number of missions has been speculative seeming.

GTA 4 took me 10 hours to 100% so this one will probably take me about 7 or 8 hours.

With the choices it looks like we're given, especially in planning out heists, it looks like there will be an added depth to strategy that hasn't really been there in other GTA games. For this reason, I bet I'll want to replay the story/individual missions more, because there's probably more of a challenge.

 

Still, from what we've been shown of the story, the missions just look so much more interesting. WIth GTA IV, a lot of the missions just came down to "whack this guy, and I'll give you cash." Being able to do some of the stuff the trailers have shown has me really excited.

Rockstar don't make a game to have us 100 percent it in 2 weeks. So just relax chill out and enjoy your game if someone completes it before me I couldn't give a toss. I'm gonna soak it up and play at my own tempo
