Me personally, I'm going to a midnight release to pick it up bang on 12:00am, then no sleep & pure energy drinks. Games follow a path where at a certain point Rockstar has no say any more. After the games are printed to disc and packaged, they go to a regional distributor. This distributor then delivers the game to retail warehouses (example: Gamestop/EBGames). Once the games are in the retailer warehouses, the individual stores send notice to the head office and distribution centre of how many copies they need. Then he games are delivered to stores. This is why I believe Rockstar have only requested that retailer distribution is not made until the 16th. However, they have no way of enforcing this because believe it or not, there are other games coming out on the 17th, not matter how small or insignificant. Therefore Rockstar's request runs the risk of delaying other games because I'm quite sure if you can only stock so many games on a truck, most companies will push other smaller games aside for GTAV.
