"Leaked" info from two years ago, looking back.

Yeah, most of this could just be guessed. A lot of it is stuff from typical wishlists (more NPC behaviors, gigantic city and countryside, customizable weapons and cars, etc.). Some of it is plain wrong, like the statement that there's only one protagonist (we've been told about the character development, and it all took place in the planning phase; they didn't start with one and gradually add others while the game was actually in alpha or beta).

 

The Examiner article is just as bad: a lot of lucky guesses and a lot of stuff that's plain wrong. It STILL says that there's one protagonist and is very definite about it (again, they had the three of them before the game was even being made). Michael was definitely visible in the jewelry store heist as well, rather than being the driver. And it said that there were 6 stars for the wanted level.

 

And no, before you say it, not all of this can be simply handwaved away as "changes during development." If two separate sources state that there's a single protagonist AND that it's a different guy each time, there's probably not a lot of actual fact.
