EagleStrike 20
I think i'm ready for a job with Rockstar. I remember I was having discussions about the wanted system a year back or so in a thread. I realized many of the things I discussed made it into the game. For example I remember making a thread about adding a moveable spotlight to gta and now it's in the game. Conveniently, many of things were after the delay and also of course, my posts from those months ago have been deleted from the server. This issue affected everyone and not just me but it's still aggravating. The fact that Rockstar is implementing many of the suggestions I made, shows me that they could use my help designing their games, at least conceptually. I'm not a great programmer but I would be willing to learn. I think I could help them with their upcoming game Agent. I have some great ideas for that game but I don't want to share them on here. If anyone could help me market myself to their company, I would appreciate their suggestions. Obviously know for a fact that they watch this website so hopefully someone can send me a private message or something. I'm sure this is what many people dream to achieve but when I hear about GTA V, I mean the feeling I get, is like I designed it. It's like they took everything in my head and put it into the game. Now I think this is f*cking awesome but it makes me realize that I would LOVE to work for Rockstar. These guys are my heroes. So if anybody can help me with this dream, let me know. DanieljJ
Sound like a sh*tty job to me. Why not make your own way in life...like me!
Zeb89
It would only be slave labor anyway. If you actually have some game development knowledge you'd be better off working on a crappy indie game of your own which could sell millions on Steam. EagleStrike 20
Sound like a sh*tty job to me. Why not make your own way in life...like me! Because I realized that, I didn't want to be in school for many more years in graduate school to get my own law firm. I realized the education system, is exactly that, a system. You spend years studying abstract philosophies and textbook thinking only to get put into a job where none of that matters. I realized that I could benefit a company much more than I could benefit the "system" and I would be much happier in doing so. Of course this is my thinking in a nutshell. EagleStrike 20
(((((It would only be slave labor anyway. QUOTE But I don't want to work on any old game, I want to work on GTA. I mean i've been reading the reports from IGN and I mean this game is legit. This is not baby business here, this is the real deal. I mean Rockstar makes video games of a much higher caliber. They don't restrict themselves to corridors and linear thinking, they think outside of the box. This is what separates them from the pack. They are constantly criticized every where including on this forum, but guess what, they don't give a f*ck, they just stick to their plan regardless of the bullying that goes on. They don't give in to the masses and churn out COD after COD. It's crazy that nowadays you are criticized for being an individual and not giving into some type of sytem. Rockstar is being criticized basically for making a smart and badass game. That's what makes it beautiful, it's an EXTREMELY intelligent design that glorifies crime. That's why it gets so much hate. People are afraid. When people criticize you or make fun of you for me as well as Rockstar, it's because their scared. They are scared of a game that goes against the flow, that doesn't give into what the mainstream populace or media wants. They are f*cking scared and they should be, because the "bad guys" if you could even call them that(anyone that goes against the mainstream is bad now?), are smarter than them. slick_j_2002
I mean no offense by this, dude, but ideas are nothing. Everyone has them. Especially when it's for a game that is inspired by real life so heavily. To look at something you see on TV or something and say "They should do that in GTA!" is not a creative skill of any kind. If you want to make games, learn how to actually do it. Even if you don't want to actually develop them yourself (although good luck finding people who CAN code and would rather work on your ideas than their own), learn how the process works, and start with the basics. If it's just Rockstar that you're so into and you want to be a part of the GTA "process", you're still better off starting small. Create a blog or fan site of some sort. Provide a service of some kind to the GTA community. Once you've established yourself as someone that actually brings something to the table, contact them about doing what you do in a more official capacity, likely pro bono initially. The position may or may not lead to an actual paying job at some point.
Girish
This has nothing to do with GTA V. Try contacting Rockstar and see what they think.
