Buying an apartment, and cash

A quick search didn't turn up any info on this, so just wanted to ask you guys something thats been bugging me- if you own an apartment/have a ton of cash, will it only remain for that one play session till you hop off? Is this even known at all?

No. You keep it. The only way someone to go inside your apartment is to be invited. so yes, your apartment could be in the same spot as someone else, but in a different virtual world.

Oh, interesting, but what if you join a separate game session where someone else owns the same apartment as you? Do you live on a different floor? Is it "instanced"? Or does it dynamically move you to another game session or something?

I don't remember hearing that you have to be invited. Where's the source of that? I saw you can have a security system but nothing about how people won't be able to break in.

There was nothing said about a security system.

 

It was said that a friend at your door wanting to get into your apartment would have to be outside and waiting to get buzzed in. You can check the CCTV camera (or whatever they said it was called) to view who is standing outside trying to buzz your door. You can then choose to invite them in or not.

 

Pretty sure one of the CVG GTA 5-0-clock videos said this as well, or I'm just confusing the sources.

yes that's what I was talking about a security system meaning the cctv camera you can check but I heard nothing of buzzing someone in from an official source just that you might be able to get your guns ready if you see people outside. I'm thinking you can lock your door and they might be able to kick it in but we don't know. We don't know if windows are breakable in your place either. I'm doubtful but I hope we can.

It was definitely said that you can buzz people in by CVG or IGN- one of the two. I know I read it somewhere.

 

I take what CVG says with a grain of salt, though. I don't care if they are backed by a company. They are extremely arrogant and cocky, making it very hard to listen to their "We predicted x a while back.." :|

I don't think it's going to be possible to break into anyone's apartments. Not through door, or window.
