The smoke seems to exponentially expand while travelling with the helicopter towards the player. Looks odd to me. edit: The initial flame part looks cool just as the rocket has hit. That being said, it does match up nicely with the game's art direction. I think I'll grow to appreciate it more. Yeah i think the explosions are far better in V, the debris, fire glow and smoke cloud look more realistic. The explosions in IV just didnt look that natural. Random welding sparks would fly out and the transition from what appeared more like a flash of light than fire to smoke was too brief. The plume didn't expand enough and dissipated too quickly. Hopefully the explosions will be more "dynamic" because in GTA IV, all of the explosions looked the same: three flame/smoke clouds at the beginning of the explosion followed by a few trails of smoke.
