Need Help deciding between which Console for GTA:V

PS3, if you usually play on PC, I don't see why you would pay for online on the 360.

Also, it has great exclusives like TLoU, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Little big planet (didn't play much of it but there are lot of people who like it...), MGS4, inFamous... All great titles.

The PS3 controller is much better in my opinion, but this is a matter of perspective and yes I tried them both.

1. What has the better online Experience? I'd rather not pay for Online, but if I have to then I will. Do I need to register a credit card with sony even if online is free?

 

2. Cheapest base model console? Or best Value console. I'll buy a new one if it comes with bundled GTA:V

 

3. All my friends are on PC. Literally none of us have any consoles. So I'm impartial to either or.

 

4. I admit I'm more nostalgic towards the PS3 controller because I used to play alot of Socom on the PS2 back in college. But I do use a 360 gamepad on my PC when flying in BF3, due to it's superiority in FPS games.

 

5. What does it mean when a game is installed or partially installed on the system? I have an SSD so I'm used to fast load/boot/server connect times on my PC.

 

6. How's the online community on both systems? I don't want prepubescents screaming into my ear about owning me, like in TF2.

 

7. I have a 4K 36" display. Which system can better upscale to high resolutions? I'm assuming that HDMI won't be a problem on either?

 

8. How fast does each system load games?

 

9. Is it possible to modify controls in anyway on either console?

 

10. I have a multi monitor setup, can either console stretch across 3 displays?

 

1. Xbox LIVE has more people online and better features, but the PSN is free and has a lot of features too but not as many as LIVE.

2. Like someone already said, there is a GTA V PS3 bundle.

4. This really depends on your opinion. Do you have big hands? Do you have sweaty hands frequently?

5. When a game is installed on a console, it means that part of the files are stored on the system and can be accessed faster for quicker load times. With Blu-ray, though, load times are faster than DVD-9.

6. Xbox LIVE has more people, and both have their share of nine year olds who swear profusely. I think Xbox LIVE has more though because of its larger consumer base.

7. Both have access to 1080p but the PS3 has 3D support. The PS4 will have 4K support.

8. This depends on the game size, developers, and optimization of each platform by the developers.

PS3 is even copying Xbox controllers for the new PS4, so obviously its better. Do you have small japanese kids hands?

Ive always been a sony console fan. I own both 360 & PS3 and personally the PS3 is the clear superior in my eyes. Ultimately its your decision.

you get a free month xbox live with the console and another for signing up but you need to use a credit card for obvious reasons to get the sign up free month. exbox downloads and installs faster xbox has party chat for online.

ps3 has free online and no party chat but has friends list but it has a slower install speed with unlimited free internet personally we cant make up your mind for you just go with what your friends are playing .
