robp77
Hello, I am Primarily a PC gamer. I have not touched a console in 6 years since the mediocrity of GTA:4 broke my heart. I really really badly want to play GTA:V but it's not coming out on PC anytime soon. I need an unbiased and neutral opinion whether to buy a 360 or a PS3 to play GTA:V on. I had GTA:3, VC, & SA all on PS2. and GTA:4 on 360. So the decision is even harder for me.Thank you.
l911
Im a ps3 player but all rockstar games work better on X360 maby this time it will be different but who knows.
Matt21
I've got both and i'd recommend a ps3. You won't have to buy xbox live when GTA online is here. Plus it has better exclusives and you can get ps plus for more games. Edited September 8, 2013 by Matt21
Monsterousness
Just depends on which controller you like. The only reason I'm going xbox is because of my coworkers are gonna be on xbox live otherwise they're totally the same

reform
Choose based on which controller you like the feel of most. That's it.
SimsDaniel916
Every day we have to have a "which console for GTAV?" thread... Your just going to cause a console war. Have you every heard of GOOGLE.COM, YAHOO.COM, BING.COM. Spend 5 minutes on one of those and you will have thousands of reviews for consoles that you can read without starting a console war. /thread ColatoralFenix
TjCase85
I have both. Although I prefer multiplatform games on the 360. The PS3 is just as fun though. You just have to pay for XBL...
MaRePaRe007
Buy Xbox 360. Even if you pay for Xbox live gold, you pay for a reason. For better online experience. PSN got hacked and every credit card went onto black market. Xbox 360 is a better choice.
musicdude1706
I'm buying for 360.. I noticed [from personal opinion]owning both consoles that games can look somewhat grainy on PS3. BUT in its defense I have an older version flat screen that I bought a few years ago.. could have a lot to do with the way game looks

Boozexlightyearxx
Get it for the WiiU. But really, grab a coin heads for ps3 and tails for 360 so bam!
CarRamrod224
PS3 500gb bundle for 270. You wont find that space on a new 360 for that price. Unless I overlooked something.
SimsDaniel916
Just noticed that this guy joined 5 minutes ago... Likely the same troll who asks this question 2-3 times daily and starts console wars. Krispen Whah
revZ
I'd say PS3 for the simple fact you won't need to pay to play online & you could also pick up The Last of Us with the console for roughly the same price.
aquateen87
You really can't go wrong with any of the two consoles. What matters is in how much it'll cost you. The one that is cheaper should be your choice. The game is programmed to run smooth on the PS3 and Xbox 360, no matter what version you get. In the past, it has been true that the 360 versions of RDR and GTA IV have ran a lot better. Ever since the release of Max Payne 3, both consoles are equal in quality and performance. CaptainChronicV
If the purpose is just to play gta v until it comes out on PC , then ps3 because you don't have to pay a subscription to play online Edited September 8, 2013 by CaptainChronicV
7csc
Depends of the controller that you like. I choose PS3 because of that and.. because you can play online any game for free while on Xbox you gotta pay I think
spongeboob911
Buy Xbox 360. Even if you pay for Xbox live gold, you pay for a reason. For better online experience. PSN got hacked and every credit card went onto black market. Xbox 360 is a better choice. You're argument does not justify the reason you're trying to make. Just because PSN got hacked once, doesn't mean it's a worse experience. OT: I agree with most people here, it's mostly how comfortable you are with the controllers. Also, get a console which more of your friends have. 7csc
topdownshooter
Rockstar games have a history of performing better on the 360. The 360 also gives you the option of installing the full game which will make the game run better, PS3 does not. Go with the 360.
Mainland Marauder
This member found this forum through Google. He did not come here to read a fanboy war, I don't think, so let's not have one. I still haven't broken in the new warn system yet, so I'll use the opportunity if this instruction can't be followed. robp77
Ok lets try this again. 1. What has the better online Experience? I'd rather not pay for Online, but if I have to then I will. Do I need to register a credit card with sony even if online is free? 2. Cheapest base model console? Or best Value console. I'll buy a new one if it comes with bundled GTA:V 3. All my friends are on PC. Literally none of us have any consoles. So I'm impartial to either or. 4. I admit I'm more nostalgic towards the PS3 controller because I used to play alot of Socom on the PS2 back in college. But I do use a 360 gamepad on my PC when flying in BF3, due to it's superiority in FPS games. 5. What does it mean when a game is installed or partially installed on the system? I have an SSD so I'm used to fast load/boot/server connect times on my PC. 6. How's the online community on both systems? I don't want prepubescents screaming into my ear about owning me, like in TF2. 7. I have a 4K 36" display. Which system can better upscale to high resolutions? I'm assuming that HDMI won't be a problem on either? 8. How fast does each system load games? 9. Is it possible to modify controls in anyway on either console? 10. I have a multi monitor setup, can either console stretch across 3 displays?
