If the intention of R* is to expand and keep the GTAO thing alive for years to come, they'll have to get some cash out of it too. It seems that there are a lot of entitled young bitches on this forum cryin over everything that has to do with the realities of actual real life. I love how everyone who doesn't agree with someone else on this forum, calls the other a whiny little kid or something like that. I only see stuff like that on this forum. Anyway, R* got it all figured out. GTA:O will definately be profitable one way or the other, otherwise they wouldn't put it in the game. I'm just saying there are a lot of other ways to make money to support the servers without having monthly fees for everyone. And people who are saying they SHOULD do it are dumb as hell. Why would you even want to pay extra even when you don't have to? I will answer that for them. Because they are idiots. Idiots who creates money hungry monsters like EA and Activision and years later whine about them. @stobe187 Just let Rockstar take care of that. They know what they are doing. They're rich as f*ck and we're just consumers, some of us really poor and some of us doing well, paying $60 for their base copies, $80 for their Special Editions, and a ridiculous $100+ for that god awful Collector's Edition. We don't need to pay them more for a feature that should already be included. Sure they pay for their servers, so what? They're rich! Stop being Rockstar dickriders, can't believe people actually want to pay more for Online when they could just keep their mouths shut and play it free. I think you are stupid. First of all, they are all time developing games which cost millions and millions. They could pay everything without problems and profit with only the money of all the game sales (60$ * 25.000.000 that without counting that in some countries its 80-90$, and the special editions). Now add to all that the micropayments (online shop, DLC's, ETC, ETC). Are you f*cking serious telling me that they won't have money to pay that sh*t? It's a joke everything isn't included in it already for the price we pay and yet there are morons like you wanting to give them more money. Online should be the bare minimum. In my country piracy rate is high because people don't have money for games,they need it to survive from day to day. Saying poor people shouldn't play games well f*ck you.Do you know how is it to be a kid wanting a game that your parents cannot afford? I know when I was a kid we could only dream about spending 50$ for a game.Thank god for piracy,because my childhood would be deprived of many hours of fun,playing games like San Andreas.Now that I have money I'm willing to spend it on a game that is worth it,but I don't need to waste it. Those big companies make a lot of money.Plenty enough profit.They even spend much of it on marketing which is a kind of waste in this case.Don't be a sheep and don't waste the money where you don't need to.To support the developers it is more then enough to pay what they ask and recommend it to someone. Just take a minute to digest exactly what we are getting in the online package: -Over 700 new missions. That's right...SEVEN HUNDRED!!! 7-0-0!!! -The game is going to be continually expanded over time -So much activities to do with friends, I don't even know where to begin! When I look at companies such as EA, who charge for an online experience which is mediocre at best, it just increases my love and admiration for R* (not that it needed increased in the first place). I'm not complaining here - it's great we're getting it for free - but I would've happily paid a subscription fee for GTA Online, given the amount of content you get for your buck. This is why we love Rockstar, and why EA has been named the worst company in US for two years in a row. Why would you even suggest something so stupid? If they did, then I would stop paying for their products. Very simple. No game from EA is worth paying for. Those games screams "HATE YOU" to you.
