HOWEVER, I wouldn't mind them making the ONLINE pay2play but have a seperate mode where it is just free mode like in GTA IV and make that free. You want to get as much people in as possible first. If you charge them right off the bat, you run the risk of a fiasco like APB. Oh man, APB was such a disappointment. I followed the development of that game for years and then they totally, totally screwed the players with that absolutely retarded payment model. To the OP: I can see where you're coming from, we are indeed getting an incredible amount of material for the price we're paying, that's for sure. I don't think your comment deserved quite the negative backlash you've been receiving - but I am also on the side where I definitely don't want to pay monthly lol. That being said, I think they're going to be FINE for money for server upkeep just based on game sales, and if they add DLC packs, character models, etc etc ala RDR, they will be fine. Yes, thank you for understanding, and not being a complete c*nt like most of the angry children who just read the thread title and spat their little dummy's out. To those of you who replied with more civil and mature responses, perhaps I could've worded myself a little better. I'm not saying R* should all of a sudden start charging us, I'm simply saying I would've had no problem paying for GTA Online IF Rockstar had initially chose to charge us for it. I agree with most of you that we shouldn't have to pay more for something that's already part of the game, but V is an exception for me. Unlike companies such as EA, who charge for an online experience which is identical to SP, Rockstar are actually expanding on the experience, essentially meaning they are working for free. Is it so bad of me to be shocked that they didn't choose to charge us even a minor fee? Its a shame that some people are cheap and would hold back something like this from happening, as it would fund incredible new content.
