Smith John
I simply cannot believe we are getting what can essentially be described as a completely separate game - for FREE!!! Just take a minute to digest exactly what we are getting in the online package: -Over 700 new missions. That's right...SEVEN HUNDRED!!! 7-0-0!!! -The game is going to be continually expanded over time -So much activities to do with friends, I don't even know where to begin! When I look at companies such as EA, who charge for an online experience which is mediocre at best, it just increases my love and admiration for R* (not that it needed increased in the first place). I'm not complaining here - it's great we're getting it for free - but I would've happily paid a subscription fee for GTA Online, given the amount of content you get for your buck. bash the fash m8s
arrowface10
Bad idea, this isn't WoW, and we are paying for the package already by buying the game, now if they release BIG Expansions as DLC, then hey no problem I'm willing to put $20 down for it. sebasbmxer
im paying 150 euros for the CE already so it would be a bad idea if the charged us for playing GTAO, that would be a total rip off DIEXEL and LeonTheKiller
JayMells
Don't give them ideas. Please don't. Micro-transactions and subscriptions would cause an uproar and is really not needed. $60 is PLENTY for a new game. Just because the multiplayer has a different name, doesn't mean we should pay MORE for it. x_CrazyBuns_x
I agree that it's awesome getting a lot of activities and things to do with friends I think I'd have paid too but I guess R* are more concerned with customer satisfaction now that they know it's going to sell like hot cakes anyway :3 Symbiote Venom, Tovaric, RisingLegend and 1 other
arrowface10
im doubting 700 missions, seems like bullsh*t. Actually you are right, we start off with 500 Missions, then they said later on they are adding 200 more and expanding from that. IDredMan
Go buy Elder Scrolls Online if you wanna spend $200+ a year on a game, not including DLCs and stuff. 700 missions are probably not like that, ofc some main missions but some missions like challenges, do this, kill that, win this. If they would do this I wouldnt play it. Dont support such a sh*t. At then end other publishers see that it still works and we will get more and more of that crap Erickbotas
Gdog
Are you complaining that it's free? If there's a video game studio out there who can afford to release a free online game with loads of content for millions of players then it's Rockstar. Hiring new developers or paying extra wages to existing employees who work on GTAO is probably just pocket change to Rockstar. Renting servers to keep it online also won't cost them too much. Are you forgetting what game GTAO comes with? GTA V. The game that is about the break world records and give Rockstar at least $1,000,000,000 in the first year. Yeah I understand, but c'mon man....it's like we ARE getting a big DLC expansion. I've never seen a game have such huge amount of content in it's online package. And as I said, R* are going to be continually expanding on it, basically meaning they are working for free. That right there, is what you call a 'consumer friendly' business. bash the fash m8s

stobe187
At some point it would be idiotic for them to NOT charge something for the online component of the game. The payments that people pump into online games keeps the servers running and the whole infrastructure working. In the near future the need for server muscle will only increase. killerx2
please stop giving them ideas like this.we get, it's better than the standard, but why can't the standard of what we get for 60 dollars go up instead of having the price go up? DawkinsEfect
DC Universe Online is for free and it has hundreds of missions. but it does have add on packages you can buy for certain things. so I'm sure if R* plans on keeping GTA Online as a separate entity, then I see them charging for extras but not a monthly fee that some people think
TheRealBars
Get out of here, and never come back. GTAO is simple a proper MP mode to GTA, including everything singleplayer has in a freeroam environment.. Go play WoW if you want sub based.
