The lone wolf option

If it was just as hard, or easier, why would anyone play with others? You would earn more money solo.

 

Though I got to admit, what is the appeal people are seeing with playing the multiplayer mode...by themselves? Doesn't that kind of defeat the point of multiplayer?

I think being a lone wolf could provide a source of income for the player but it would be slower than being in a crew - for example, some missions can be done alone while others require a crew or at least, co-operative play of some sort. I imagine you don't need to actually play the GTA-Online missions to earn and spend money like a big-shot - you should be able to just hop in, earn some cash on your own and buy a house, cars, all that sh*t. But yes, it would be slower.

 

Or, like me, you could just spend your time in multiplayer offering your services in a particular field, say as a sniper-for-hire (since certain roles can be assigned in, for example, heists). I want to be a gun-for-hire on GTA-Online, and I think that straddles the line between lone wolf and crew-member.

I've never been a huge multi player playa myself. The beauty of this GTA online is that you have the option. There will be a lot of single player elements included and if they do it right, I see being more interested in my personal character's story than with the single player protagonists after my initial playthrough.
