Rockstar said GTA 5's map is about 5 times the size of RDR (landmass is 3.5) (55.65mi²) (144.13km²) RDR's map is 15.9mi² and if i double it 5 times it's 79.5 and if 3.5 so it's 55.65. Surprisingly, that thread is about the size of Los Santos and the surrounding countryside. Maybe you should take a look over there. A calculation from a member (F4t4l1ty) on this forum with the use of a CAD program lead to RDR's accessible area being 5.4 (rounded off) square miles and 3.5 times RDR is 18.9 square miles which happens to be 49 square kilometers. I don't believe in such coincidence so I have got a feeling it is actually supposed to be 49 square kilometers. LEARN TO READ: "Ok so I rode on my black (fast) horse from the card house in blackwater to the mansion in Escalara and it took me 9 mins 32 seconds." Horse speed = 40 mph = 0,67 miles per minute.
