copperrobber
Heres a little part of the interview summed up by eurogamer, its not the full interview. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-09-08-you-want-to-find-kurtz-every-time-sam-houser-speaks-out-on-gta-5 Would be great if someone could post the real interview by TST, you need to be subscribed to view it http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/culture/arts/article1308914.ece tom_p1980, Duxfever and GourangaMaster
Hearnandez
Just read the article (Solid copy, not gonna transcribe the whole thing!!) a few main points: -Set to be the biggest release in entertainment history, eclipsing GTA IV's first week takings of $500M -NPCs can be seen consulting trail maps on mountain slopes. -The distracting beauty of the game world actively prevented the guy who was playing the game from wanting to wreak havoc! -Houser compares the development of GTA V to Apocalypse now "...Realm of excitement and misery at the same time, its not supposed to be easy". -Rockstar will continue to update GTA V after its release "it's not farewell" -The Houser brothers should be considered British "National Treasures". -"My Demo ends with a trip to the Vinewood sign, which overlooks Los Santos. As the Sun sets, it's hard to imagine a Blockbuster film on GTA's scale crafting a moment as naturally romantic." An entertaining read but no new info revealed in particular. Its satisfying to read a piece of mainstream media to give such a game the praise it deserves. tom_p1980, M4RK, H. León and 1 other

AllenKS
"and will be the moment when video games come of age as a narrative art form" I appreciate the hyperbole as it gets more people hyped for GTA, and more sales = bigger and better DLC.. But, the f*ck? There are plenty of games out there that already have good stories. The media's always tryna put down video games..

And this is the Sunday Times, one of the top Serious newspapers in the English world. Yes, it's owned by Murdoch, but he was forced to make a legal agreement not to Murdoch it up when he bought it. coach_wargo, Adriaan and 2405

Nah, they moved to America and became famous there, like Roddy McDowell from Planet of the Apes.
Cilogy
I always love reading articles like this because it really puts into perspective just how much of an impact GTA makes, let alone Rockstar. GTA V is definitely a good representation of fine art in the gaming world, but it's a shame that the media didn't make this observation like a year ago, or 5 years ago, or 20 years ago. Games have always been an art form and developers keep proving that with more and more clarity every year. s-u-r-y-a
