I wonder whats the max you get from a bank? like someone said bank may be closed in that session after a heist for a few days.

I think most people would go with your playing style.

 

I'd probably carry around a debit/credit card for purchases, or go to an ATM and withdraw the money I need for purchases. I'll make people who pay me pay me with paychecks rather than with cash so that I can easily transfer the funds to my checking or savings account. I'll also make sure that I carry my wallet in my front right pocket of my jeans and that I push it in the pocket nice and tightly. If I do get cash, I'll immediately go to the nearest bank and deposit it (probably to my checking account, given the scenarios where I would receive cash).

 

In all seriousness though, I'll just deposit all the money and utilize the f*ck out of ATM's. I think that anyone who's flaunting their cash around just willy-nilly is a bloody idiot. As for maximum withdrawls, I'd say that they would make it realistic. I'd say that they'd probably make the bank just hand you a check if you withdraw millions of dollars, because I doubt anyone has a wallet big enough to hold such amounts of dollar bills (unless there are some mystical one-million dollar bills I've never heard of). As for IRL bank limits, the answer lies with another user, as I'd know nothing about that (I'm a college student; I'm not just transferring trillions of dollars in and out of banks leisurely).

The interesting thing about this is... I don't think it's possible to go around with no money on you at any given time, while still being able to make some purchases.

 

From everything I've read so far, yes there is online banking and whatnot through your phone in game, and yes there are debit cards. But from what I understand those debit cards are used for the much more expensive purchases.

 

I believe that if you want to go to the clothing store and later get some tattoos, you may have to walk around with a small pocketful of cash at minimum maybe like 200 bucks. Enough to get to those small stores, and purchase what you want at them like a $50 shirt, $100 tattoo, then be on your merry way back home or to the ATM to deposit your left over 50.

 

This still leaves the possibility of getting mugged if you aren't careful however, which I am okay with.

Plus.. I want the paranoia and the rush that comes with knowing that any of the 15 other people I'm playing with could easily decide to try and relieve me of my cash, as I walk down the streets minding my own business.

The primary concern is stay away from people with a low rank/small playing time. Those people literally have nothing to lose but a lot to gain walking up and shooting you anywhere they can.

 

That being said, if online is anything like free roam in gta iv, I don't think it would be wise to trust your fellow gamer on the street. Someone could easilly walk around with no cash in their pocket (nothing to lose), and just go on a killing spree on everyone for no reason.

 

We all have this fantasy that people will take this a bit seriously, but gta has been anything but in terms of the aggregate play style. Always be prepared for the worst in this game.

People who are there just to continuously kill someone eventually get matched up with people who just want to do the same.

 

I'm cool with getting shot in the streets, but unless I actually engage you and we have some sort of little fight going on, killing me once should suffice.

But if they are doing it for money, they are more likely to go after the guy with a pimped out car. In gta4 money wasn't a motivator, in dm you only got 100 bucks per kill with a + 14 bucks or so if you took the time to pick it up. I'm gonna make myself appear as a poor noob even if i am a millionaire.

I would like it if you gained a multiplier for mission rewards if you complete them with money. This would promote people to hold money longer and would bring about a real risk/reward situation. Play safe and deposit after every mission making just the basic cash, or string 5 missions in a row before depositing and get progressively more money per. Obviously I'm not saying a huge multiplier, just something to give incentive to playing risky.

Like I said.. killing people is no problem.. but there's no point in killing people for the sake of trolling or griefing them.

 

Any more than twice while the other person is trying to get their own things done, minding their own business, and have their own fun and you're just griefing at that point.

Unless they have something that you can transfer your money directly to players accounts, you need to have some cash on you if you want to have transactions between players.

I'll likely deposit all my money into a bank also, being part of the LSPD I can see many people will try to kill me (even just for being a cop), will only get out what I need from ATM's also if I see a player dot on my map, will avoid it as best I can.
