NGC BemaR
Come back here in 8 days Ill be the one saying "I told you so." - Jumbo Jets Flyable :-P I agree...remember in the other thread I was in with you, when people identified the four engine aircraft in micheal's trailer as a a340....this screenshot confirms it is without doubt a 747 inspired aircraft...furthermore, all aircraft seen will be flyable! As my good friend JuankAirPilot has said. We will soon know for certain JuankAirPilot
z06z33
That's not a commercial airliner. It is however, a private jet. But you have a point. Errr, that IS a commercial airliner. Private jets like the Learjet are nowhere near that size and don't have that configuration. Though I agree it looks a little large to be a Shamel its not an airliner. It could be the Luxor or another uknown jet,
reform
I think this pretty much confirms it. NPC's wouldn't be chased by cops. Most likely a protag. Jumbo Jet in Picture. Awesome! GTA often has scripted missions.
norgeek
Actually, everything is in favor of this being the Shamal, and also against it being the Luxor. The number of windows match the Shamal, not the Luxor. The size of the engine pods match the Shamal, not the Luxor. Both the aircraft in the screenshot and the Shamal has winglets (at the end of the wings), the Luxor does not. Both the aircraft in the screenshot and the Shamal has a T-tail, the Luxor does not. Also take note of the very LearJet-ey top of that tail. Keep in mind that the Lear 45, which seems to be roughly the size as the Shamal, is a pretty large aircraft. Length: 58 ft 0 in (17.68 m) Wingspan: 47 ft 10 in (14.58 m) Height: 14 ft 1 in (4.30 m)

JuankAirPilot
I need everyone to do this....... Look at the runway on the Blueprint map and imagine the Jumbo Jet appearing on it as a small dot (because that's what it would appear as)......and then take that dot, and compare it to the map revealed so far......and then ask yourself if Jumbos are too big? Ppls arguments are that the map is too small for Jumbos, but realistically when looking at it from a scale you'll realize that even though a 747 is bigger than a Learjet it's NOT like comparing a fishing boat to the Titanic in a lake. If anything, the argument should be that Private Jets shouldn't be allowed due to map size since they cruise at higher altitudes and faster speeds than Jumbos......still wouldn't be a good argument. R* isn't holding back in this game guys/gals.

Dont_Mess_69
We've had a screen of Trevor piloting one for a long time now. Plus, in the multiplayer trailer, you can see one of the missions is to steal a jumbo jet. You can see the player in the cockpit and the plane taking off. spongeboob911
If `the Titan is flyable I am sure that commercial airliners will also be flyable. Pretty much sums up what I was going to say. BUT, I may be wrong...

JuankAirPilot
jumbo jets fly way faster and higher than a cheap private jet. Source?........ Any pilot/mechanic/controller will state the FACT that private planes cruise at higher altitudes than airliners. Although private jets/commercial jets alike generally cruise no faster than Mach .9, private jets are known to fly marginally faster than airliners and the higher altitude fact on increases the speed margin. But you're right..........they are very cheap, which is why everyone has them.

There's also one in the background of the picture in the original post here. Then there's probably the one being flown by Trevor in the picture with the jet fighter flying alongside above LS. ells144
Well, if the Titan (largest plane in any GTA) is flyable in online multiplayer, then every airborne vehicle is flyable. Upon our arrival, we had a massive shootout with the military at the Titan’s hangar. My teammates covered for me while I jumped in a semi-truck-and-trailer that was blocking the Titan’s escape and moved it. I then ran to the Titan, got in, and held RT (I was playing on Xbox 360). After a few moments the plane’s engines roared to life and the plane began to move. My crew all jumped in and we turned onto the runway and got off the ground before the remaining government cronies could damage the plane too badly. I flew us north – again in awe of the view – and couldn’t quite line the plane up with the Sandy Shores airfield runway on the first try. Or the second. But on the third, I had it looking good, so I clicked in the left thumbstick to lower the landing gear, backed off the throttle and braked a bit, and somehow managed to land the massive bird safely. Success! Neither me nor any of my cohorts died! eh, nope? It's way smaller than the commercial planes or the Antonov look-a-like plane we've seen Trevor driving out in Trailer #2, behind Franklin while he's skydiving (possibly jumped out of it) and the nose picture with the jet which was posted above. The Titan isn't really big, look up the C-130 Hercules it's based on, not that big either. every so often i get a c-130 fly over my house i live next to an unused air base which is soon to be part of the MOD but the runway is used to land soldiers back from Afghanistan, i also know that in Afghanistan (they allready have there hands on GTAV but they dont come back for a while. IAMTHEARMAGEDON
To whoever said the Titan isn't fly able: 1-CVG said the guy who was playing had to fly it out to the desert >HE HAD TO FLY IY< 2-IGN's recent hands on with online allowed them to play the same mission CVG saw and the guy even said he heald down the right trigger(Xbox) to make the jet go. So there, get your facts straight dumb nuts
SrgtSam
Had to read all of this lol. But yes you can fly a 747, if you go to the run way at LSIA. you will see the giant 747 The 4 engines ones which is parked. Go under and hit what ever button for both consoles to get in. Best way to do this with out the pain of getting stars is to do it after you purchase the hanger when the game is done. I would love to post a picture for you all however i cannot right as this moment. But try it out. it the 4 engine one, two on each side.
