Hardline_Pro
How many GB is this game on 360? I only have 13 GB left on my HDD. I hope that is enough for GTA V.
Ex Hellraiser
It is about 16 on 360, but only the first disc (~8GB) is mandatory to install, while the other 8 is optional on the second disc, so you are good. LiGzz
Does installing the game to the HDD spawn more peds\traffic or is it just for loadtimes\ disc spin
subsonicdust
Clear up some space. This game is MORE than worth it.

If it comes down to it (Which it sounds like it will) just delete some stuff. Few weeks ago I deleted about 5-10 GB worth of old game data off my PS3. It's worth it. What is on each disk? From R* A & A: "Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs." So I'm guessing a bunch of texture data and audio will be on Disc 1. Edited September 8, 2013 by NYC PATROL

What is on each disk? I don't think that info has been revealed, but if I had to guess, it would mostly be the audio and video, as that takes up the most space and would require a lot of time to load, especially if there were a lot of sound effects going on in the game at once. WE don't know what is on each content-wise, but there is about 8GB on each disc. Edited September 8, 2013 by fatal1ty619
HiddenStreet
Quick question: For Xbox 360, if I want to download disc 2 on to my HDD (in addition to the mandatory 8GB install) will this mean that GTA V, collectively will take up 16GB on my HDD? If not, how much space would disc 2 take up if I installed it? Only reason I want to install disc 2 is to allow the game to load faster, not heat up my console, run smoother, run quieter, render quicker, and so on. I'm going to be doing the same thing though because I have about 30 gigs on my Hard Drive left.

The game is closer to 15 GB altogether, though.

This. That's the reason I install every game I play a lot on my 360. Probably why it's survived this long.

DarkFalcon95
I install my games but still have to use the disk to read it, right? Of course. Installing just takes a lot of stress away from the console and increases loading times and other things like someone else said.

Outplug
Dude, you're fine with that much space. The rest isn't necessary to install Can I installed 8 GB for the 1st Disc for Xbox 360 and Second Disc installed it with 8GB Flash drive Probably so, but you're going to want a 16GB flash drive as a flash drive doesn't provide the whole 8GB and you might be getting more than 8GB with it. Just be on the safe side A 16 gig drive shouldn't be difficult to find at a low cost (~$10).

HiddenStreet
Ugh, the only problem is that it's going to take probably over an hour and a half just to fully install both discs on to my HDD... and I'm OCD to the point where I wouldn't want to properly play GTA V until both are installed... oh well, I'll probably just install both of them once and for all and get the full experience playing the game. Maybe I'll watch a movie while I'm installing both discs.
