Luiisjoseda
So, the only thing freaking me out before the release, and even when I start playing the game) is the possibility of my PS3 Slim getting the YLOD? I have it in a very cool kept place and everything so I won't be getting it for a while, but can the 'next-gen' graphics of GTA V in this current gen console possibly slowly damage the console? Or am I just worrying too much?

E•MO•TION
Haha, I often worry about this too. My Sony fanboy of a cousin assures me that my PS3 Slim will not get the YLOD and can't get the YLOD stating that it has "been fixed" on the Slim model. Can someone confirm? gonnaenodaethat
To be safe after you've finished a session of GTA V don't immediately turn your console off - give it about 5 minutes for the poor wee overworked GPU to cool down and recover itself. Personally I am having to over the next week repair my RROD 360 and am planning to keep the cover lid off and directing a 15" fan at the motherboard in preparation for GTA V. Richard378
The PS3 Slim will not be getting the YLOD because it was fixed. Plus, I've had my slim for a while and its still running like new.

Plus, I've had my slim for a while and its still running like new. I hate when people say the YLOD was fixed, it wasn't, just look up videos on YouTube. The PS3 Slim is very unlikely to get the YLOD compared to the older models of the PS3.

Skylanator
My God. Stop panicking, it'll be fine, as long as you don't go out of your way to make it get the yellow light of death, or do anything stupid (i.e keep it under the TV stand etc) it'll all work out fine !. The Failure rate on the Slims are about 10 to 15%. same with the Xbox 360 slims. I currently own two slims and have had no problems with them.
