We have seen Ubisoft milk out Assassin creed and they ruined that series faster than Amanda Bynes ruined her career. Would I buy Watch dogs? Yes. But GtaV will destroy it imo. I'll probably end up getting it eventually, but it seems like a game that will maybe keep me entertained, outside of the storyline, for about a week before it gets stale. GTA V just oozes excellence from what has been shown. And the fact that Rockstar doesn't need to show extensive gameplay just to try to make a statement, besides a pretty vague trailer, just shows the position that the GTA series and Rockstar has cemented itself into in the videogame world. I will even pay for your plane ticket. I'll be buying WD for my PS4 on Nov 15, but it will not beat GTAV. Sorry. Also, I was underwhelmed by that gameplay when I saw it 2 days ago. Jameson312 Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 damn so i started watching the gameplay footage and quickly started thinking "aww man is this a ubisoft game...." then BAM. i don't think it's going to be that good of a game. also, hacking the camera with your phone...fine. hacking a camera with another camera by looking at it.......not fine it looks / feels like assassins creed from the future. not cool, ubisoft. not cool at all. GTA V is beautiful, Watch Dogs would make a good short term distraction when I need something fresh from playing too much GTA, but it'll be a mere scratch on my GTA treck . Damn straight... Same, but did you see when they crossed the bridge. Nothing even close to resembling Chicago at that point. The downtown and ghetto does. I have no doubt that the game will look stunning on the next gen consoles, but for now, their gfx ambitions, and the subsequent cash-cow decision to release it on current gen, is biting them hard. It also looks very much like Assassins Creed, same developer and all. New IP doing something fairly original, I'm all for it. But it ain't gonna touch GTAV. Lets compare the 2 shall we: GTA V: -3 protagonists you can switch between to prevent dullness in missions. Each with their own circle of friends, missions and activities. -The map is huge and filled with so much to do such as Story missions, Dynamic side missions, Tennis, Golf, Yoga, Dirt bike races, plane races, triathlethons, base jumping, bar fights, heists, stocks, buy property, liquor store robberies, weapon vehicle and character customization, bounty hunting, animal hunting, scuba diving and a hell of a lot more. -Theres a bunch of different types of vehicles including motorcycles, cars, tanks, semis, tractors, dirt bikes, submarines, jet skis, helicopters, jets, private jets and more. -The game has a lot of animals like Sharks, Deer, Bears, Dogs, Cougars and more, plus you can have a pet dog and customize its collar and maybe even the kind of dog it is. -The game has 15 musical radio stations filled with 240 songs and 2 talk radio stations. Plus 20 hours of musical score throughout the game. WATCH DOGS: -1 lone protagonist -I'm sure the map is big but not as big as Gta Vs, and Im sure there isnt much to do other than hack cameras, hack street lights, hack bank accounts, prevent crimes, steal cars, rob stores, have shoot outs and do story missions. -There doesn't seem to be a wide variety of vehicles other than trucks, cars, motorcycles and boats. -There are no animals and it doesn't even have a dog even though dogs in the title of the game lol -Don't even know if this game will have any radio stations. Haven't heard any news about it. I'm sure it will but won't be as robust as Gtas. Thats all I can think of right now, but as you can see, Gta V is much better. Sure Watch Dogs looks better graphically but Gta V beats it by having way more content packed in. I'm still gonna play Watch Dogs, Im not hating on it, but I just know it won't be better than Gta 5. Yeah, I love how it's set in Chicago as well, but that part was pretty goofy if you're familiar with the layout of this city (which they seem to have gotten wrong now, by separating it into islands instead of just having smaller rivers separating the areas). I think that's the only appeal this game has to me now, which is a shame since I really had high hopes for it back when it was revealed. I dunno what happened, I think I just lost interest and eventually realized that it probably will get boring after a while. All the gaming sites and media are talking about how great it looks, but I don't see it. I'd actually go so far as to say that it looks pretty awful. If that's next gen, I want nothing to do with it. Watchdogs looks like it would be a good game to play while waiting for GTA5. So far with Watchdogs I haven't seen and underwater exploration, airplanes and helicopters, bikes, ect.. I also haven't seen any animals, country side, ect.. And that's not even touching the surface yet. How could you even think of comparing Watch dogs with GTA 5 when all it looks like is a slightly different version of GTA4 but missing a lot still and based on one thing... Hacking.
