Durden Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 I've never been this excited for a game before, and I doubt I ever will in the future, since I'll be too pre-occupied by things of higher priority (i.e. adult life). I'm at the perfect peak age to spend my time hyped over a video game. When I look back, the GTAV hype train will undoubtedly be one of the key moments of my life, let alone actually playing the game. 100broken Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Mario 64, but that was also because it was the launch of the N64 and Europe had to wait a year after Japan and 6 months after the US. Having to wait a month at a time for Nintendo magazine to come out for new info was horrendous. Knowing people were playing it just crushed me on a daily basis. Then the European launch date came and it was as happy as I had ever been in my 12 years of life. I still own my N64 and my little boy now plays Mario 64 (amongst others), the circle of life hey. W3BB13 Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) I don't believe I've ever been quite this hyped for a video game before, but the closest I've come to it would've probably been either Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4; I was pretty pumped for both of those games. I remember watching trailers for MGS3 for the first time, thinking it was the greatest game I'd ever seen. I might've been even more excited for MGS4, though. What drove me insane about it was that since it had already been released a year earlier for PS2, i had to do backflips like the matrix trying to avoid spoilers from people who had in on the PS2. GTA IV understood the concept of "less is more.. Show a lil leg, then a lil chest... then cover it up!"
