Blaine county for me, just edges ahead. Because I'm going to be driving all over the place, jumping off hills ect and smashing through caravans if we can.

After GTA IV, I'm over city settings. I can't wait to find a nice bike and go cruising along desert roads, around mountains and through all of Blaine County! :)

I kinda feel the same way, I mean obviously GTA4's Libery city pales in comparison to what Los Santos will be like, but it's still gonna have a very similar setting, for the most part. Blaine County on the other hand is gonna be more vast and will have different ways to interact with the environment, such as hunting, mountain climbing/hiking, camping (not sure if it's been confirmed), and more.

Hmmm... it's really hard to pick a favorite out of those two.

I'm equally excited for exploring both areas... but I'll choose Blaine County.

Can't wait to see how Rockstar made the countryside this time, with all those massive mountains and etc... ;)

Such a hard f*cking choice! :panic: I would say both but that isn't an option. I have to say that I'm more hyped for the Los Santos Metropolitan Area than the countryside. I don't know its just such a beautiful city. Theres so much different architecture, mansions, beaches, interiors, shops, and I just love those avenues. The countryside is a place I'll go when I get tired of the city and want some peace and quiet within the game.

Two different places, two different words.

I would say city because im really into bev hills and i expect rockstar to make it seem like that, driving around in my luxury car, going into a super expensive store, going to the beach, just chilling around town loving the views and the massive houses.

But im also excited about the other part aswell, going on my bike to explore, maybe go all around the map with a nice bike, damn, that sounds really exciting and cool. Cant wait.

Los Santos. I don't care about this boring desert called "Blaine County". RDR map was so boring that I couldn't wait to finish the game.

I'm looking forward to all of it, but I'm more excited for Blaine county--the country/rural areas because LC excluded the countryside, and it's been a long time. Plus, there's animals in a GTA for the first time--like deer and such. I'm really excited to just walk a country road and take it all in. Until some idiot tries to drive past on an ATV. Then I'll be riding in style!

LOL! I'm shocked at the nearly perfect balance of Los Santos and Blaine County. (At the poll, I mean)

I'm more excited for Blaine County, tbh. GTA IV gave me enough "city" within the past few years.

What are you talking about, the map was fine. Though I would agree that RDR's setting did create a dull atmosphere.. But this is GTA we're talking about, which imo shouldn't even be compared to RDR.

At first, Los Santos had most of the votes but now Blaine County is on top!

And if I put a "both" option in there, everyone would pick that and would just defeat the purpose.

Blaine county for sure, I've already experienced a rockstar city this gen, I want to know how the countryside will play

On an unrelated note, I really think there is more than just los Santos and Blaine county.

Apparently north yankton is in Canada? So maybe the only way to get there is by flying with a commercial airline?

Red Dead Redemption was Rockstar's current gen rendition of the "country", though, wouldn't you say?

yes and no. yes it was the country but it was also set over a 100 years ago so its not really the same

i thought this would be unfair with los santos killing blaine county in this poll....

but los santos is losing...i guess people are really looking forward in playing elsewhere besides cities these days..

me personally .. i never get tired of GTA cities

It's a tough one, both have their own very different appeals...

If I had to choose one, it'd be Blaine County just because it's countryside and I missed it in IV.

Actually, no. I look forward to playing both, don't get me wrong. It's really a matter of, if you had to choose poll, rather then which one is better? Besides, the games not even out yet so there's still so much we don't know about.

City for sure.

Cruising in the landscape was annoying in RDR...mostly due to the horse controls though...irrelevant though...

I guess it depends how many small towns there are in Blaine county. But my overall goal is to make a police clan once the Pc version comes that focuses on serving the small municipalities, towns, villages, etc so I'd love if it was big enough for that to make sense.

I thought the horse controls were pretty good in that game but it could've been better.

I love the fact that you will be able go to the countryside in GTA V but just imagine:

Game with only city - ok

Game with only country -

It's literally like having 2 games in one. R* really went above and beyond with this game.

I love that the votes are dead even 177 for both. I'm really looking forward to this game, if I ever get bored of the city life, I can just go redneck and start hunting animals out in the countryside lol :^:
