I think out of all the characters in TBOGT Bulgarin is a step too far in the wrong direction. In GTA IV he’s introduced as some kind of major threat with a score to settle so when he appears in TBOGT making sick guitar solos it’s hard to take him seriously. A bit like how Madrazo in GTA V turns into a complete bitch after being introduced as a threat too. I’ve defended TBOGT a couple of times in this thread, but I can’t defend it with this one. Infact it feels like R* got lazy. GTA IV had Dimitri and Pegorino, TLAD had Billy, but TBOGT doesn’t use its own antagonist and recycles the one that should’ve been in GTA IV and allowed Niko’s arc with him to be resolved. Personally I feel Rocco should’ve been the main antagonist in TBOGT. He had all the right ingredients to be one and more importantly he was a grown character unique to the TBOGT cast.
