It was good but I didn't think it was nearly as good as other GTAs. I thought it was a bit boring. What do other people think? GTAKid667 Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 I personally really liked playing this game, the storyline was immersive, characters were awesome, cutscenes weren't too long-winded and it had a lot to do in terms of side missions. I don't think it was any worse than some other GTA Games. Sure, it didn't have the best graphics of it's time, nor did it have half the gimmicky features San Andreas had, but to me, LCS produced a fun story in a classic location. No melo-drama storyline, protagonist does not get humanized and made into a sympathetic character. Game has plenty of things to do that is fun. It was also my first GTA I owned (not played but owned for myself) so it's got a very special connection to me in an emotional way and nothing can ever beat that. Except from the fact that the protagonist wasn't like past ones, I liked it a little more than GTA 3. Much better than VCS too. I suppose it's because the protagonist actually looks similar to how he did in the past game, and Liberty was nicer than Vice for the PSP imo. Well it was only a port, it wasn't necessarily intended for release on PS2 anyway. CantThinkOfOne2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Share Posted December 22, 2013 It was a good game but the complete lack of aircraft was really bad, and there is no excuse as hackers were able to spawn a Maverick, Hunter, Police Maverick, VCN Maverick and a Dodo and the Maverick was obtainable via an exploit. Plus, it is the case for me. I've never owned a PSP, but I've always had a PS2. Thanks to R* porting it over, I was able to purchase and play LCS and VCS. It's bad you couldn't swim, and only fly a helicopter with a glitch, but it wasn't worse than other GTA's, especially as a PSP-port. And i liked the characters like Tony & Salvatore. I didn't really mind that you can't swim since there is pretty much nothing you can do at sea. The vehicles were probably the best ones in 3D Era. It feels like a mobile version of III tbh while VCS feels like a mix between Vice City and San Andreas on a psp.
