Next-Gen could feature more cities within California, the consoles would easily be able to run a game like that, the only way GTA can get better is if the content gets bigger and better, GTA VI could have San Andreas, Miami and Liberty City. Maybe one protag per city and they all meet up at some point of the game.

They want to make a massive world creating new locations and existing Gta Locations and have them all part of the same gta world.

 

This will be much more capable on next generation platform's and with the usage of the cloud system

It probably depends on whether they begin work on a new engine or not. If they make a new engine for next gen we'll probably have another GTA III/IV before we get another SA/V.

Face it. There isn't a better setting in the WORLD for a GTA title than right here in Southern California. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

 

That's why the franchise can only go down from here, unless of course, they make another title based in LA on next gen consoles. But let's say they don't, then yes the franchise will go downhill and will never be able to recapture the true feel and raw essence of a region quite like they have here with V.

 

Every single person in the world wants to know what it feels like to live the true Hollywood Rockstar life. That is something everyone can relate to and identify with. R* really is making this the closest thing to that reality for many people.

 

Any other setting, there isn't that same mass appeal. From the story line, to the characters, to the lingo and accents; everything beyond V will surely come off somewhat forced and nowhere near as natural as the story that is being depicted here with V.

 

It's this setting that makes this game and franchise really come to life. Even San Andreas's storyline drew me in more than IV, just because SA had a much more feel good atmosphere to it. IV's was just forced and dull. It was not captivating by any means beyond the opening dialogue of Niko. What can I say the city was bland and so were its characters.

 

So appreciate what you all are getting now people. Remember this feeling and recognize this will likely be the last time you ever get that "Christmas Eve's" feeling from another video game again, let alone another GTA title. You all are very lucky and blessed Rockstar has chosen to give you a first hand glimpse into my part of the world, because now you can all die truly knowing your life is now complete.

 

Cheers and enjoy the game in a couple weeks folks. And cherish everything you will learn from this game and take that knowledge with you. It is yours to keep, for what you will get in the future can never be as masterfully recreated as V. In anybodies lifetime, period.

But you dont understand, these aren't just any normal set of circumstances, and this isn't just your everyday annual release. This is the GOAT stepping up and taking its throne within 1 week of release and never losing its crown.

 

I'm sorry I know you all got your hopes up for future generations but this is it folks. Everything else will be specifically catered to these younger generations growing up. With more and more laws put in place and with less freedom developers have to work the worse these games will become.

 

Australians have to lose an arm and a leg to an aligator just to get their hands on a copy of GTA as it is. You think this problem will be getting better? You don't think this issue will trickle down into your petty little video games?

 

You fools.. Wise up and recognize this will be the greatest video game of all time. I promise you it will stand the test of time no matter how many challengers attempt to step up.

Just because GTA V is the newest game really don't mean sh*t, it just means that it will have the best graphics. And it is nothing to brag about for a new game to have better graphics than an old game. So for GTA V to be the peak of GTA, the substance needs to be there. Nobody knows how much substance and content the game actually has UNTIL THEY PLAY IT. Anybody who says that an unreleased game is the best of ANY series is a complete fanboy. Fanboys said the same thing about GTA 4, and it took people 2 or 3 years to public swallow the fact that they were wrong. We still had hardcore GTA 4 fanboys on GTAForums as recently as 2010ish, then they got phased out once the graphics of GTA 4 began falling behind more recent games and the game no longer looked as good.

 

When a game is built completely on graphics and ignores content, that game will only be loved for 2 or 3 years then people will move on. GTA 4 came out after San Andreas and isn't better than San Andreas. Of course there are people that will argue for GTA 4, but EVEN Rockstar themselves knows that SA was better than GTA 4. Because Rockstar subconsciously admitted to the world that GTA San Andreas >>>> GTA 4 when they ran back to Los Santos like a desperate wounded dog even bringing back old SA features. So we gon' see when the game comes out, but "newest" doesn't mean "greatest".

ArcaneKnight is back. IV is dull compared to V but it wasn't actually dull. I loved it's dark vibe and the characters, the story, it was all just awesome. I played through most of IV thoroughly this summer and the game still amazed me, even though this was my 4th or 5th playthrough. Liberty City may seem colorless but it is living and breathing with diverse buildings and diverse NPC's. Liberty City wasn't bad at all.

 

That said I think that Los Santos HD is a wonderful setting. So far there is nothing I don't like about the map other than the fact that there is one lake.
