Secura
^ Haha. I'm getting in on this starting now. Edit: How long have you guys been able to hold off for? My longest was five days. Shah Sam
^ Haha. I'm getting in on this starting now. Edit: How long have you guys been able to hold off for? My longest was five days. About 8 months. I wanted to quit it all together because it made me feel pathetic, but I lost it and got a huge high out of it when I finally caved. How does fapping make you feel pathetic? Shyabang Shyabang
This thread made me google 'fap'. Strangely, the photos don't show clearly what it is. After looking down the list, I found out that it was a slang to masturbate. I googled that word. The resulting photos changed my view of the world in a shocking way. Do a lot of people actually do that often!? I rarely touched my private area between my legs because I thought this area was disgusting. I touched it for brief moments when I washed it with my shower head. (Wow, I'm actually talking about this)! I admit that I came close to fapping once (without knowing the word 'fapping') when using my shower head. I was 18 at that time. I was curious about how it would feel to have water gushing at this area beyond the time I have ever endured it previously. It felt like fire inside me. My legs started to weaken so I sat in the tub. The feeling was getting more and more intense. It felt wrong for my body so I stopped. I'm afraid to do it again. I'm not afraid of being tickled at the other areas of my body. I tried sleeping naked in bed when I was eleven. It felt good and liberating. I didn't fap, btw. My mom asked me why I locked my door so I stopped doing it. I started to do it again when I got my own dorm room to myself recently. Being alone in my room makes me think of doing that.

orbitalraindrops
I think people misunderstand this. Masturbation is in itself a healthy normal activity however if people do it too much it can lead to mood and confidence issues. Even if you don't have these it's still a good challenge to try out. The majority of people who have done it have had positive benefits from it. It's not a permanent thing, it's just a good challenge to test your willpower and see how long you can go. TBH I have alot more free time now that I'm not having 3 fap afternoon sessions. I have alot more energy, I dominated the rowing machine in the gym yesterday. My normal limit is 30 mins and then Im exhausted but this time I pushed right on up to 45 mins and I still managed a gentle jog home rather than a half crawl. It might be a placebo. It mgiht just be a bro science. But f*ck it, It works for me and I'm enjoying doing it. Staying in all day masturbating is bad for you. No fap can give you that push to not stay in, go out and well, Live life. And that's what it's doing for me and other people. You don't have to believe me. You just need to believe yourself and you will when you become a demi god and domiante the social playing field due to not being flooded with prolactin. Sex is allowed (Unless your doing NoFap - hard mode) because sex creates a bond between two people, it nurtures ones physical and mental health. It's a positive act. Fapping into a tissue over 32 open tabs is imo not healthy and the three seconds of pleasure is not worth the self loathing, disgust and lethargy I feel after. Otter
I think a smarter, more responsible challenge would be a no porn challenge. That, I can see some benefit from. At the very least, you'll flex your imagination and stop sexualizing everything you god-damned see. I'll start that, uh, tomorrow. orbitalraindrops
Yeah no fap generally relies on no porn. However some people edge by looking at porn but not fapping. Crazy people. The levels go... No Porn, No Fap, No Sex (Hard mode- Only done by a select very determined few and maybe some religious people) No Porn, No Fap (What the majority of people do) No Porn (I find it hard to watch porn in moderation so I basically just treat it as a no go) Fap, Imagination Fap, Porn Look up videos by Mark Queppet. He's like this spiritual god. But he's taking it too far imo. No fap should be seen as the same as going cold turkey. If your abusing something then you abstain from it for a while before you can healthily do it again. It mgiht just be a bro science. But f*ck it, It works for me and I'm enjoying doing it. Several years ago, I read that Leila Ali refrained from sex as much as possible to conserve energy. So I guess it works. And then I read this: http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/st...e-espn-magazine "There's a lot of sex going on," says women's soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo, a gold medalist in 2008. How much sex? "I'd say it's 70 percent to 75 percent of Olympians," The village becomes "a pretty wild scene, the biggest melting pot you've been in," says Eric Shanteau, an American who swam in Beijing and will be heading to London. On the way to practice fields, "the girls are in skimpy panties and bras, the dudes in underwear, so you see what everybody is working with from the jump," says Breaux Greer, an American javelin thrower. "Even if their face is a 7, their body is a 20." In Beijing, even the adolescent female gymnasts got sassy with the water polo and judo boys who shared their training room. "That's where most of my socialization took place -- in a tub, up to my chest in ice water," says silver medalist Alicia Sacramone, then 20, who served as den mother to her teammates. "The younger girls would try to flirt with stuff like, 'Look at that butt on him!' I'm like, 'Excuse me, did that just come out of your mouth? Don't pay attention to his butt!'" Quickly the reality sinks in that the village is "just a magical, fairy-tale place, like Alice in Wonderland, where everything is possible," says Carrie Sheinberg, an alpine skier at the '94 Winter Games and a reporter for subsequent Olympics. "You could win a gold medal and you can sleep with a really hot guy." And no matter your taste, the village has got you covered. The soccer girls? "All hot, and they dress like rock stars," one male swimmer says. Male gymnasts? "They are like lovable little Ewoks," Kintner says. Sacramone has a few favorites of her own: "As far as best bodies, it's swimmers and water polo players, because that's an insane workout. And the track guys, they're sneaky-cute. Very serious, but when they lighten up, you're like, 'Oh, you're kind of adorable.'" American shot-putter and silver and bronze medalist John Godina thought he'd seen it all in Atlanta: late-night hookups, friends disappearing for days at a time. But he hadn't seen anything like the dorm room in Sydney he shared with a javelin thrower, which had instantly become a revolving door of women without backstories. "It's like Vegas," Godina explains. "You learn not to ask a lot of questions." Displaced roommates become commonplace, with the standard sock-on-doorknob serving as the signal for "please go away." Before long, Foudy says, "it turns into a frat party with a very nice gene pool." And heaps of stamina. "Athletes are extremists," Solo says. "When they're training, it's laser focus. When they go out for a drink, it's 20 drinks. With a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you want to build memories, whether it's sexual, partying or on the field. I've seen people having sex right out in the open. On the grass, between buildings, people are getting down and dirty." The Germans were hoping for some group fun, which is not uncommon in the village. One skier tells a story from the Vancouver Games in 2010, when six athletes -- "some Germans, Canadians and Austrians" -- got together at a home outside the Whistler village. "It was a late-night whirlpool party. It turned into a whirlpool orgy." Edited September 2, 2013 by Shyabang Shyabang

orbitalraindrops
Just so people know Im back on day 3. I had a legit (ish) reason though. I had my first ever wet dream. At 19 years of age. Pretty weird sh*t actually. Like my hands weren't even touching my dick. They were under my pillow supporting my soft doughy cranium as it slumbered. Anyway I dreamt that I was banging someone and as I came in the dream I woke up and realised I had come everywhere. I was just like "Derp, what the f*ck is this. Have I failed" I mean it's no fap..... and I didn't fap but I still came. So then I was like f*ck it I gotta start over anywhere and reverted my clock back. Shah Sam
What? You're probably going to have more of those wet-dreams if you're on this "no-fap-diet". So prepare to start over again many times.

The-King
Holy f*ck, this no-fap sh*t is completely nuts. I understand the ideas, doesn't make them any more off-the-wall and stupid. It's like a cult, every post I've ever seen on it reads like a flyer for a hotspring getaway with Kool Aid refreshment. Masturbation is a natural tool to control one's sexual urges and release endorphins. Not doing it because of imagined health benefits is pants on head retarded, the whole movement is a placebo for inadequacy. Mcquiz
I went 9 days once just to try out. First 3 were a pain but towards the end it the lack of fapping made me very unhorny. Even really hot pictures didn't excite me that much. Then I knew that it went too far.
Finn 7 five 11
I've tried it before but if anything, I have the opposite happen. It just makes me more edgy and more anxious. Then when I do finally and inevitably give in, it just means I cum bucket loads and will probably make a mess of the carpet. I've found when I don't fap my standards go down the sink big time. MIGta
I usually fap everyday for a few days then go without for a few days and then the cycle will repeat itself. No idea why it works like that, just seems to be the way it is. I can't say I've ever noticed any change in confidence or health either way. I'm not interested enough to see if it works. When a man needs to fap a man needs to fap. Don't mess with it.
GTA_fear
I have the same habit as above. It usually makes me feel lame and disgusting. That's why I've made a "once in 3 or 4 days" rule. Should make me do it when I'm actually horny, not fake horny. So orbital, care to inform us about the situation?
