An update on the state of the weapons for you all:

 

I'm terribly sorry, but I simply will not be able to continue with my initial intentions of creating the weapons for this mod. For the last two weeks, I have been bouncing back and forth between different hospitals, and after almost forty blood tests, and numerous other labs, doctors still can't figure out what's wrong with me.

 

I'm sure you all understand. And if not, grow a brain.

 

I'm also sure there is someone, if not multiple people, out there who are willing to pick up the task of the weapons and finish it quicker than I would be able to. I urge you to talk with BEGINit and begin work so the mod can roll out swiftly and completely.

 

I hope to see the finished product sometime soon! You all have been amazing with your personal growth in modding and the mod all together. I wish the end result all the best.

The mod is set in 1987 Vice City.

While we wait for a teaser, here's the new Voodoo replacement. The original author is Stierlitz. He made a VC version of his Faction tailored for SoV

 

 

 

I made the following improvements to the model he sent me:

- remade damageable wings

- fixed wheel arches and adjusted wheel position

- reintroduced trim like on Stierlitz' SA version

- remapped bugged textures on seat, wing and mirror

- fixed steering wheel position

- edited bonnet and exhaust

 

I'll talk to Stierlitz and if he wants, I'll send it back over to him so he releases it for you guys early as a treat. I'm making an exception as I normally won't release any cars made for SoV but this mostly applies to my personal work.

 

You guys can see that I've added my old wheels to the car. We still don't have any final wheels for the mod.. Are we going to do anything about that?

Are you inspiring from the Driver franchise (at least the ones from PS1)? Looks like totally from Driver and I like it.

I saw the car in Stierlitz's Workshop and really liked it. He came up with it, so I couldn't tell you if he was inspired by Driver. What I can definitely tell you is that at some point, it was a Hotring Racer (hotrinb).

 

I forgot to mention, I'm curious to see what Braindawg's been up to in the bikes department.

Patience. There are still stuff to do. There is a problem that I encauntered regarding the script file. It kinda makes working on the mod a bit harder, so I kinda have to find a way to resolve it. Patience please

I still haven't decided what to call it. I like the name Aries but perhaps a name from the GTA universe is better. Then it would be the Buccaneer. Aries or Buccaneer?

I have to agree with Pauloso. Remington is a good name for it since the original in SA is similar.

The rear is obviously exactly the same as on Remington, but the front end looks similar to V's Buccaneer, which I personally don't like even nearly as much as the one in IV. So I'll go with the majority here and suggest going with Remington.
