I think the main takeaway was that people got confused by the screenshots and thought that interior had replaced the vanilla rooftop.

Just one advice for everyone thats having problems with the mouse: spam the f*ck out of ESC key till mouse starts working. It does the trick for me.

I haven't made MVL versions of any SoV cars. Although this is probably not hard to do, the cars aren't available for download to my knowledge. As long as I am given credit, I don't mind if any of my SoV cars are repackaged in such format and hosted wherever. I'm also speaking solely on my behalf, perhaps others would mind...

 

In other news... It's been just over a month since I've done anything meaningful code-wise. Been mainly focused on the map, adding missing clothes stores and what not. Going to port Comet_'s legendary cinema next and hopefully also the awesome new map additions from AVALS. Maybe we'll get Braindawg's latest work on the swamp at some point, who knows.

Rafaels store is finished and I added breakable glass to the Well Stacked Pizza place, which is the setting to Bullet Dance. Should be more convenient to shoot down the enemies now.

Can you make signals on the map of places that have been recently developed, for example, new hotels, cinema, etc.?

In the full game, all unique places should appear throughout the progression of the story. So you'll be made aware of their locations, naturally. Perhaps post-release, someone would like to create a map anyway but I won't be adding any blips or icons on the radar/map legend unless it's for other purposes.

I sure hope that the completion of this area justifies all the fcuks spent on it lately. Mega announced that he had finished an exterior for a cinema based on the Tower Cinema in Miami almost 3 years ago, and the files have been in limbo ever since. Good thing that before it all dissapeared, at some point, @elazulio had a backup of the scene which got sent to @deltaCJ, who finally sent it to me a couple of weeks ago. However, upon importing the model, it quickly became clear that this wasn't just going to be a quick port... Besides fixing (50) textures, changing geometry, adding shading, and making a collision from scratch, a lot of work went into the surrounding area. A lot of Rockstar models that make up this block were very poorly made, with bugged UVs, unfitting proportions, and missing details. That should now be looking a lot cleaner in SoV.

Not exactly groundbreaking progress here but as this part of the map is quite important to us (the setting for Cuban missions + a clothes store), further improvements add to the diversity. Hope AVALS returns soon because we should tackle the swamp next. Until then, back to coding for me.

Mega announced that he had finished an exterior for a cinema based on the Tower Cinema in Miami almost 3 years ago, and the files have been in limbo ever since. The timcycle is actually the one thing that hasn't been changed from the very first build :)

The Cuban clothing store is right around the corner, yeah! There's also a new cheeky shortcut

Also, about the timecyc, I know it doesn't look different, but every time I look at it I think"This is better than the original timecyc, that's for sure".👤

آمل بالتأكيد أن يبرر الانتهاء من هذه المنطقة جميع الأموال التي تم إنفاقها عليها مؤخرًا. أعلن ميجا أنه انتهى من الخارج لسينما مبنية على سينما تاور في ميامي منذ ما يقرب من 3 سنوات ، وقد كانت الملفات في طي النسيان منذ ذلك الحين. شيء جيد أنه قبل أن يختفي كل شيء ، في مرحلة ما ،elazulio كان لديه نسخة احتياطية من المشهد الذي تم إرساله إليه دلتاالذي أرسله لي أخيرًا قبل أسبوعين. ومع ذلك ، عند استيراد النموذج ، أصبح من الواضح بسرعة أن هذا لن يكون مجرد منفذ سريع ... إلى جانب الإصلاح (50) مادة ، وتغيير الشكل الهندسي ، والتي التظليل ، والاصطدام من نقطة الصفر ، والكثير من العمل ذهب إلى المنطقة المحيطة. تم صنع الكثير من موديلات Rockstar التي تشكل هذه الكتلة بشكل سيء للغاية ، مع وجود أشعة فوق بنفسجية ، ونسب غير مناسبة ، وتفاصيل مفقودة. يجب أن يبدو هذا الآن أكثر نظافة في SoV.

Hi guys, I just wanted to tell you, that what you're doing is awesome and it is almost insane how much work and dedication you're putting into it (and it shows). If you need some help with textures or models, I can try and provide it (I am not  very fast, but my holiday's just started, so I do have time). I just think it is insane, how you're making GTA games faster (and betrter) than the f*cking Rockstar themselves.

Thanks, brother! We always need help so feel free to get in touch with me on Discord. We're definitely not quite as fast as Rockstar but with the limited resources we have access to, we've come a really long way, not just since the beginning but since the demo of April 2019. We are able to make animated cutscenes and the new missions of which there are over 10, are top notch. BEGINit is working on many extra features which you guys also haven't seen in the demo. Rockstar should definitely consider picking up this project as a mobile exclusive release!

The story wasn't the demo's forte but if you thought Vice City Stories was good, I promise you that we're preparing something better for you in the full release of SoV!
