There are several reasons this mod is delayed.

 

1. Kalvin (one of the main mappers for this mod) has lost 80% of his assets a month ago or so. Map is unfinished without them. So he has to recreate those assets almost from scratch.

2. Braindawg (Lead Character Modeler) requested some changes to the existing models so they'll look more unique. This obviously will take more time to do.

3. Silent works hard to polish the script for it to meet the latest quality standarts.

 

If everything will go fine, Act I should be released before the end of March.

English to start with, I'm pretty sure there will be Polish and Russian versions as well after the release. I'm still rewriting the dialogue.

Character models, weapon models, map parts, soundtrack composition and much more... We're very busy with SoV...

Yup, progress is being made daily, admittedly maybe a little slowly (on my part) but the train's certainly choo-ing.

 

We haven't treated anybody to proper map screens for a while, the reason for that being that what we'd show is all you'd see in the mod, and in certain aspects like that we want to keep that "ooh/wow" factor.

 

However, we need to treat you guys at some point! With this thought, I've decided to share a few snippets of some of the interiors being worked on, not to show them off entirely but to let you guys get a feel for the quality we're aiming at.

As said, the map is still being worked on! These areas can change from now to the beta release to any further builds, but this is some of what you'll be looking at in the upcoming release!

I hope BEGINit will be satisfied enough (with bug fixes and everything) to release it's first BETA, soon. Were these recently added interiors always on the to-do list for BETA 1? I hope it releases soon.

The beta release shouldn't be too far away hopefully, even if he isn't satisfied yet there's always time from now and any future releases to make changes.

 

Yes, they're not actually recently added, but they have been heavily revised/mostly remade from scratch to be all new and a lot more nice looking.

The mod is stable and mostly bug-free. Actually, any critical problems were resolved a while ago. We’re just busy with making improvements to dialogue, character models, map assets, etc...

I've never even noticed those walls sticking out on the sides of the mall were hexagon (or octagon?) shaped. The new textures and prelighting really emphasize it.
