I assume so but since they’re relatively close to release, suggestions probably won’t be added until Act 2. All the content is probably set in stone and the only things that can be added is stuff that fixes bugs, for now at least

Mods are made in people's free time, they don't owe you anything and can take any time they want. Constantly asking when it's going to come out or being condescending about it, is not going to change anything and may even demotivate the mod creators. Improve your attitude in this topic, please.

It's kinda amusing to see people here utterly anxious to play it. I mean, it's ok, I know that you guys are looking forward to play it, but look, I'm waiting for a first release since 2014, even before Speecy and the others joining the team. Gosh, it's even "cool" to see that my first post here is from April 1, 2014 in the first page.
Let's simply wait for it. I'm sure that it's going to happen soon. 😊
(P.S.: I hope to see a upload of the first and subsequent releases on ModDB, cause SoV needs much more attention.)

I sent him a message, but I want to dublicate this info here too for others.
I know, all it looks like I'm hiding info, but actually I'm currently working on cutscenes' big tutorial which also will include my maxscript to make characters' and cutscenes' creation much easier: creation of non-standard objects(here's it's skeleton) and characters, limbs moving, objects attaching, eyes animation, creation Biped for any body proportions and many other options.
I don't know when it will be finished, so you can try to use beta version(tested on max 2009 and 2012), which contains all except "eyes" and "Biped" stuff.
Actually, if you already know how to make ingame animations and you have the scene in 3ds max - all you need to do is to export characters' animations as usual ingame anims through "ANPK Tool", then look this example(code has detailed comments) to find out how to activate it in the script/mission.
Also, if anyone will have some questions about cutscenes in VC - write me anytime, I'll try to help as soon as I can.
Unfortunatelly, right now I do not have enough time for everyday modding and that's the reason why I could not to join SoV team or even Discord channel, but again: I'll try to answer any question in PM as soon as I can.
Also here's sad news: yelmi.com site(pioneer of cutscene modding) has died. yelmi don't want to recover it, but he tell me he will try to publish all useful stuff(tutorials and tools).
Before my tutorial comes out, you can download an archive with yelmi's, Andræs's and my notes. They're random, they're in russian, but maybe they will help to somebody.
As you see, all this stuff looks disorderly: that's why I want to make it much easier and more automatic and that's why I need to finish my maxscript before making tutorial: for me it's much easier to make some processes automatic("Char Helper" in my maxscript's beta) than trying to explain them.

If somebody will make another tutorial before mine - it will be great.

This month, progress was made on interiors that I shouldn't leak and further scripting.

We think the base model of the car in the second screenshot was originally made by Monitor57 for VC Myriad Islands. The design underwent many changes to fit the 1987 setting.

While the map is being worked on, I made a custom Tropic yacht model. Driving it around inspired me to consider implementing it into a potential mission. Then, a random storm occured and there was a truly eerie atmosphere at open sea. This got me thinking of exploring the possibilities of coding a proper, destructive storm as a setting for a future mission. I haven't seen anything like it done before in any 3D-era GTA. There wasn't any documentation for memory addresses to alter wave behaviour but I knew it was possible from observing the effects of the "catsanddogs" weather cheat. It took a few hours to find the correct memory address but the outcome is quite cool. I hope it will be interesting for you guys to experience a storm actually serving a purpose in a mission.
