Rock City looks great, I especially like the posters, and the attention to details is impressive - wheel traces, the building planning... The only two strange things that caught my eye are the real life photos of musicians and the default Microsoft Word Calibri font on the white nameplates (it somehow gives them a 2010's feeling). Well, and the shiny neon sign at the storage room...What's the point of it? :D

 

Also, pre-made shadows will probably present even at the nighttime...

 

(it may look like I'm criticising you, but I'm just nitpicking at the excellent model, the idea of a lore-friendly rock store executed greatly)

 

EDIT: Shiny neon sign is probably just the painting work, my mistake

Your criticism actually made me think twice... I may try to enhance the storage room logo (which is meant to be a painting, not a neon haha) to make it look more like what it should be. Same with the white nameplates, I'll try to make those look half decent 😛

Did some updates based on @Cpt. Rookie's advice and added a few more extra albums as well! (I decided to keep the paintings though because I think they're a direct reference to these musicians and don't matter a lot since I recall seeing real people in some of the stuff back in San Andreas anyway).

He’s actually installing a remote control mechanism in the car. However, the entire car is handbuilt and has many imperfections. I’m working on a mission where you are driven around in a top fun van and control this car remotely as it drives down the road in front with no driver. It will have various malfunctions: brakes will fail, if you go too fast, it’ll overheat, body panels will detach and the tires will burst. The aim will be to test the vehicle to “it’s limits” without totaling it. There will be checkpoints that need to be passed at certain speeds to proceed.

Voice acting isn't that necessary

To add plus you need voice recording sessions and having the best voice tones and you could even lose

Is it gonna be like the mission "Taking the Peace" from Liberty City Stories, where the camera view will be limited from inside the car?

Can you send me a texture file of the plate? There is something strange with this font, but I don't want to constantly tire you and maybe I'll try different fonts.

Personally, I wouldn't count on that (do volunteer works). The main reason for its existence is for the first mission. We'll see.

Nice,I thought this feature didn't exist,so seeing it in action and in a mission that's something we wouldn't often see in a gta mission.

 

Are there any other places other than the church to add details and characters to ?

Personally i think the (Beach) in washington should have volleyball net(has a texture but no collision in the game files) or a minigame.

First of all I should start with that ambulance... ;)

 

Anyway I think a jetski would be strange because VC has no proper anims for it. I dont think it would look good with that static boat animation.

or am I missing something?

VCS uses a unique vehicle type for jetski (since it's a mix between a bike and a boat), so implementing this should be very very hard

its a matter of time because vice city not only needs the gator keys but adding the florida swamps, thats alot of work
