It's nothing but sh*tposting there, you won't miss a thing

It's a shame that instead of offering help, support and suggestions, they just sh*tpost bad memes or talk about weird crap. Would be a nice change of pace to have more help and motivation instead of what we got in the public chat.

 

 

Well to be honest, when people gave suggestions for missions, none of them were even considered to be implemented into the game, because in order to make missions for a story-line, they needed to know the story, and they obviously didn't know it :p ( I forgot why we never took any of their missions into consideration, I saw a few good ones)

But would be nice :)

 

I have already and am planning to implement more of Cpt. Rookie's suggestions. A good example is the bulldozer mission. He has likewise come up with a good concept for a police mission, which fits nicely with some objectives already coded by BEGINit. We have, on multiple occasions, taken considerations and implemented them into the script.

Hey! I'm sorry for the late response. Regarding the ambulance, I really like this truck body style from Myriad Islands.

The model isn't very good quality and needs some scaling besides that, but could be used as a solid base for an ambulance. You could go for a similar style to this:

 

 

 

I can send you the model if your interested.

Regarding your truck - I'd say we use yours for the Flatbed and modify the rear of Leonazix's in this fashion for the Packer.

 

The cab looks really low poly... Are the Myriad Island guys fine with it beeing used for SoV?

 

The design looks a little too european I think (bit like an Iveco Daily) but the grille and headlights are really nice.

Send it my way and I'll try to make a nice ambulance.

 

 

 

Alternatively I was looking at some fire department vehicles and came across some 70s/80s GMC C5000/Chevy C50 and 80s Ford F600s which would also make a good ambulance.

Only problem is they are a little too big for an ambulance.

I think the Beta will be short of 30 missions. It should be around 27.
48% of Beta are missions fully coded. 37% are partially coded. Around 15% still need attention. if a "partially complete" mission is weighted 0.5 of a "complete" mission => 0.37 x 0.5 = 18.5 so 48% + 18.5% is the overall Beta completion state, which officially stands at 66.5%.

Will talk to BEGINit about the selection of side missions including rampages and unique jumps to be featured in the first Beta. Those activities are coded, we just have to decide on the best way to divide them between releases.

 

The majority of all asset-based missions will not be included in the first Beta. This refers to: side missions for hotel managers, drug dealing, and the shares system. All of these are also coded by now, but will appear in subsequent Beta releases.

The complete mod is set to have 100+ missions (including asset & side missions).

 

The Beta of SoV - Act 1 that you can expect to play this summer will have a total of 27 story missions + many more side missions.

 

 

You're not finishing this. Just admit that and be done with it. :bored:

I cannot estimate when the final build will be released, nor when work on Act 2 will commence, following the first public Beta release. So it depends on what you mean by "finishing". The team is currently focused on completing SoV Act 1 so until we are done with that, we are not trying to finish anything else.

I would like to soon get in contact with Braindawg again so that he gets me the updated character models on time for a Beta release. Also, I will need to send the revised SCM to BEGINit as he may want some changes and/or provide feedback. Either way, if I have to wait for these things, I will be using the time to finalize the Beta map and all other aspects of the game that we've worked on.

I believe SoV has just received the nicest palm tree models to ever appear in Vice City.

This is the model from various angles. From these shots, it could easily be mistaken for the Vanilla VC palm tree.



Took me 2 hours to make this. I'm expecting VC rage conversion authors to come asking for these :)

Blue is too busy with his guitars to care about good old Shine o' Vice. Might need to go hard on him, even harder than I do on Kalvin.

 

Those look great, Speccy. Gives them a special style that is somewhere between VC and VCS' models. Can't wait to get my helicopter stuck between two of those and blow up.
