Converting Vice City boat to San Andreas

So I recently came across two boat mods for GTA Vice City:

And I want them in San Andreas, I have followed the instructions on conversion that can be found here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=340983.

I skipped the step about importing the San Andreas vehicle into 3D Max and deleting all but the wheel for the obvious reason that boats don't have wheels, but the game crashes when I attempt to spawn the boat. If anyone can help me get these into San Andreas. I will gladly upload the files to GTAGarage (I planned to anyway). The fregate will replace the launch and the ferry will replace the marquis.

Boats are different from cars. Import a regular SA boat and move everything off to the side. (so it doesn't touch your VC boat) Then import your VC boat and then go Graph Editors->New Schematics View and figure out which is the SA boat and which is the VC boat. After that match the structure of the VC boat to the SA boat. After that delete the SA boat and do any other needed steps to your boat. (changing the textures if need and what not) Once that is all done export your model, make a TXD and everything should work

Your problem is the COL file. Please edit the col file so that it is not greater than 14kb in file size.

No cheating. This is your only choice!

I'm in the process of editing the .col file so the file size if small enough (no solid furniture sorry, that doesn't bother me and I hope it doesn't bother anyone else), it's taking time as I'm distracted by GTA V. The .dff and .txd are converted and ready to go.
