With GTA Online giving you the option to do things that aren't incriminatory, like the stock market. I think the violence of the campaign may settle me into a more world oriented multiplier experience, but that is just me.

i dont plan on going around killing everyone if thats what you mean lol. but i do plan on creating missions, with the content creator, and that sorta thing, im more of a roleplyer then an all out maul down the world for fun kinda guy.

I'm not too sure what I will be I hope I am going to be kind of in the middle. I will try to commit crime, but I will try and do it without innocent people getting hurt or killed.

Low paid jobs; it will take an age to get a decent amount to invest properly in the stock market and get a healthy worthwhile return dude.

I get where you are saying and it would be cool if we play as a white-collar criminal that makes money but considering how this is GTA, I do not see there will be missions that do not involve any shooting.

Taking a path of not performing any crime at all would be hilarious. Imagine a homeless player that just goes around and asks for money from other players to point they have enough to play the stock market and then makes it rich. Also, if you can race in the game you will definately earn money, so theoretically you will be able to avoid crime. For the exception of all the wreckless driving and street lights you'll knock over.

 

Playing GTAO while driving a fast, cool looking customized car, and owning a nice safehouse while other players check your stats and see you've never been wanted, or have no kill/death stats almost seems more difficult to accomplish and respect-worthy than going for all that heist money.

I was brainstorming possible create-a-missions last night and one of them I came up with was to get 5 people to each give you $1000 without killing anyone. Just begging. Sounded kind of funny to me.

I think that's hilarious, having players live civilian lives. You could start out driving cabs or some sh*t, then one day invest in stock & drive around in a limo with your Perseus suit and pay mercenaries to lead a protective convoy around you...all without firing a shot biggrin.gif

 

I could see it working when it becomes a full MMO, if R* gives the player incentive to do so. Eventually build a 3 way dynamic between player cops, criminals & civilians

I don't necessarily plan to just attack and kill other players at random though I wont hesitate to kill if the slightest bit of aggression is shown towards me. It would be nice if everyone were to abide by the same rules but we all know that wont happen. Thankfully they do have the money-drop, bounty, and revenge systems all in place to deter people from just wreaking havoc but I get the feeling the first few weeks of GTAO will be filled with new players killing us all as they'll have nothing to lose right off the bat.

 

I get the feeling many people will be found in Passive Mode at the start.

Welcome to video games. We are all arrogant and competitive in multiplayer. If I wasn't sure of myself that I can do well in multiplayer why the f*ck would I even play?
