Will it only be 16 players?

Sorry for my ignorance everyone.

 

Wil GTA V have a maximum of 16 players online at any given time?

I ask because given the size of the map it is going to be difficult to comes across or find other players. Plus if you have a huge crew how is there going to be big turf wars etc?

16 players max per game lobby/free-mode. Unless of course the game mode demands smaller teams such as Cops N Crooks for example (4v4 IIRC) if that comes back.

 

As it is the free-roam world/lobby will be 16 players max.

 

As for finding players on the map, I think, and I stress the word think, it will be like GTA4 and RDR each player will have a coloured blip on the map telling you where they are (unless blips are turned off ). But nothing is known as yet about blips in GTA5.

 

I think in RDR posse's (crews) were limited to 8 people max so 8 v 8 turf war is possible.

My guess is that 16 is just a start and over time it will increase as it moves over to next-gen which can handle alot more players. say around a year and it may develop into a proper MMO

Bit gutted about it only being 16. Will have to keep my crew relatively small then.
