Playing Max Payne 3 in preparation for GTA Online

Anyone else plan on doing this? I just kind of want to get a feel for the combat system and have something to hold me over until the game comes out. If the rewards are good enough, I will probably even play up until GTA Online is released on Oct. 1st.

Heh I'm doing this too. Max Payne is amazing. I hadn't played in a while but once I saw the combat mechanics would be the same, I immediately started playing again. The Benz mentioned that you could get a character boost in GTAO if you're past a certain experience level in Max Payne multiplayer as well.

Stupidly enough, I've let my friend borrow it who hasn't played it for the past 2 months, and I'll be going to get it back so I can prepare myself. I am a pretty good Max Payne player, but I hope GTA V is a lot more improved in terms of gunfights and character movement.

L. The Benz said "bonus" not "boost". You are gonna have people freaking out that Max Payne 3 players will have an advantage.

I haven't got the game but I've been watching a Youtube playthrough of it Not really the same effect as playing yourself it but the sort of flow of the game is really getting me excited for V. I especially like the gun mechanics.

I've been playing the MP3 online on and off for some time now. I guess you'd get the bonus if you're on a high level, and I just got to 41 yesterday. I'll probably end up being on level 42 or 43 before GTA V comes out. I would wager that being high enough to at least get some sort of bonus.
