BMW1M Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 As a big fan of Fast & Furious franchise and Midnight Club LA, I can not wait to do the street racing missions. Hopefully they will give you rewards for doing them. Maybe a custom car, new customization items for cars, upgraded driving skill, nitrous, etc. With past GTA games the street racing wasn't always challenging or even that fun to be honest. Since it seems the whole car situation is going to have lots of options, maybe the street racing missions will be better to. It would be great to see story based street racing missions where you race for a reason. Maybe poke fun at Fast & Furious with knock off characters. Since the game is based in fictional Los Angeles, street racing missions have got to be better. Car scene in LA is top notch. Who else is with me? I beat a bunch of Huntley Sports and Reblas with a WASHINGTON. I also frequently saw the AI racers refuse to brake at all, resulting in them literally smashing head into walls then they should've been turning. Ha, but seriously, you have great ideas concerning the game. They really do need to throw in some characters and give a story based reason or goal to explain why you are participating in illegal races. And as others have stated, I'm definitely most excited for the off-road/jets ski races. After playing IV for the past 5 years, street racing has lost it's charm. The Huntley is pretty fast in a straight line and handles decently around corners. The Washington is a slow piece of crap that takes forever to get going and handles like a giant floaty executive sedan. I was literally so far ahead of my opponents I couldn't see them anymore. Here's my take on it: Even realistic open world racing games like MCLA and TDU2 don't hold my interest and in fact make me frustrated because I can't get out and explore the world. So ironically, I will be fine with GTAV racing (which will probably feel like MCLA) because anytime I lose a race or crash in GTAV, instead of being frustrated, I can just get out of the car and do something else fun. Looks.like their will be sick roads for a offroad/rally type race down the mountains amd in the.deserts.
