Betting.

I don't know what the story is with gambling in the game and I apologise if someone already proposed this idea, but

 

I was pondering the various scenarios, situations, choices etc that online gameplay will have and I wanted to ask peoples opinions on wether or not you'd think betting will work between the players. We know that you can give other players guns and money so it would be an interesting idea to place wagers on races, golf or tennis, Wouldn't it? But of course, my concern would be in having a few punters not respecting the bet and generally acting the maggot that the whole idea might just fizzle out...but if it worked it could make certain aspects of the game more interesting, no? A race or game of golf or whatever would be amazing if you had €100,000 riding on it.

 

Do you think it could work? Any ideas on what else to bet on or how to make it work more effectively? Or can you see any flaws in the idea?

I think in RDR you could make bets playing poker and mini games online, so I don't see why R* wouldn't put this feature into multiplayer.
