Hitman mode

HI evverryboddi!

It just hit me... that given the diversity of the los santos landscape and the seemingly endless possibilities for development of the GTA Online game that a Hitman Game Mode would suit perfectly.

I guess it's sort of already covered in the original storymode gameplay, but the difference in my mind of an online version is that "the job" could be just a vage description of a character, with just a clue of how to find him/her, and with the mission to just take em out, either before the time runs out or before another player gets the target.

So what do we need for this in terms of development:

Communication: A way of communicating the jobs - the cellular phone, public phones, email, a homepage.

Choice of target: This could be an average pedestrian, hiker, diver you name it...a citizen of Los Santos. However to make it challenging the target description could be quite wage, such as the target likes wearing a yellow shirt, walking its dog in the park, eat icecream or maybe likes to go fishing for shark... I'm thinking in order to get the target the player might need some patience, stick around an area for maybe an ingame hour or something or maybe get a good overview or why not need to get hold of some diving equipment..Hell I don't know where the limits are.. smile.gif

Multiplayer: Why not let the target be 1 out of 16 online players, similar to "gta4 cops n crooks" meaning one person is given the clothing of the target and well, will be chased through mountains, cities, air and water towards a specific goal, through maybe 2-4 checkpoints. The other 15 players could then get a clue of the clothing that the target has on him, as well as a clue to his/her whereabouts for each checkpoint that the target passes. I guess regarding communication for multiplayer mode the easiest way would be through the cellular phone.

I hope this catches on, it would be like an awesome game in the game, but hey, that's the GTA original idea anyhow right!!? smile.gif

Naturally there are tons of other aspects of how to get this working, but I leave it up to to others to fill in the gaps, not to mention the rockstarrzz who would create it.

PS I would love to see some gamer comments on these ideas. Though if this already has been posted and discussed, I do sincerely apologize, I searched but couldn't find a similar thread. DS

cheers

I made up an entire gametype for my friends and I to play in GTA V. I based it on Assassin's Creed's multiplayer only it won't suck.

Manhunt

-One person acts as a mediator, who will assume a non-combat role in the game, and writes all of the participants' names on a list and numbers them.

-Everyone will pay an "admission fee" to the mediator, this fee is the worth of each person once they are in the game.

Every player must spread out along the entire map and then the mediator will privately chat each participant and ask them to pick one number out of the maximum.

-Each person will only know their target based on their chosen number. Once the game starts people are free to hunt their targets down and kill them.

-The mediator can provide two services: They can reveal the identity of a player's pursuer for a high price. A person can also pay the mediator to lie about the identity of their target's pursuer.

-If a person happens to kill their assassin they will get their assassin's additional targets, if any.

-If a person happens to kill their target and are still in the game, they will get a call from the mediator assigning them thier new target.

-The winner gets the total amount of money for each person they have killed plus half of what the mediator was payed for revealing identities and misdirecting targets. Any left over money from admission fees goes to the mediator for keeping track of the game.

-This is a serious gambling game, it should only be played with money.

-Killing or attacking the mediator is strictly against the rules and will get them a disqualification.

What an excellent game layout, with some cash involved the excitement level should go through the roof after your first kill!! smile.gif

I just love the idea of GTAV being so vast, since it gives so many opportunities for stakeouts, strikes and not to mention, chases.

Another feature to GTAO which I think would add to the excitement level would be if there were some time limited stealthclothing that could be picked up ingame, so that as chaser or target you would not be given away with a big neon sign over your avatars head, but could actually sneak up on someone, i.e. stakeout a place without being seen by others. It's either your movements/weapons or the c.l.u.e.s. that gives you away... smile.gif

Yes, but no time limit. I like to take my time studying their everyday movements and catching them at the right time. Hopefully there is a mechanic to where I can make it look like an accident. If not, they should give us a lot of ways to kill to keep it interesting. Like the elaborate bank heists, I want hits to be elaborate as f*ck too.

Making a mission that involves one player on the run, that doesn't show up on the map while several other players attempt to bring them to justice sounds like a lot of fun. As the hidden player you should have the ability to see where the opposing players appear on the map. It seems like it could be a very slow game of hide and seek. Maybe when the mission starts you see where the hidden player is on radar for five seconds and then it goes away. Then everytime the hidden player fires a weapon their blip appears on the map for five seconds. I've played made up game modes with friends somewhat like this before in GTAIV. It's a rush and a lot of fun to be the hidden player and sneak up on the other team. You can go several minutes without spotting anyone though.

Sure Switchblade I agree that the game could feel a bit slow, but I guess that really depends on what you're after. If all you like to do is to rush into fights, spray bullets all around you , get killed and respawn over and over, well, no then this game mode would be way too slow.

But if now the GTAV environment will be as great as I expect it to be, the game modes that follows with it should be designed to let the player really enjoy it.

I've seen some people compare GTA to WoW and if anything, the latter is a slow moth**f****ng game, so, with that said, a gamemode tat would test the players patience wouldn't need to be too bad in my opinion.

I would love to ear more opinions/experiences on this type of game though, so cmon people already!! smile.gif

Cheers!

About the "Hit" gamemode, have combined all the above posts into one "minigame" if you will. Although, I have added in for the price of 10k, you can also purchase a tank from me. (Thanks to Pegasus) Not only that, but you also have the ability of using my glitched in P996-Lazer jet in the game, just that if you blow it up, you pay the 22k insurance fee. Needless to say, My friends and I took this gamemode to a whole new level. and with the hidden blips, you luckily can call Lester and hide your blip for exactly ONE minute, as well as all the other options. Here's the catch though: NO Personal Vehicles(to avoid getting bad sport) and no Pegasus vehicles unless they're from the moderator. Anyone to even accidentally shoot me or my car which I'm over-watching in, will get an instant DQ and mercenaries sent after them by me. Then said player would get kicked from the match until the game was over. Needless to say, I have personally seen so much carnage ripped by 14-15 people at one time, it wasnt even funny. Also I made it to where if you killed someone that wasnt your target (player's only, NPCs ALWAYS get in the way) then you would get a deduction of $500 for each person killed. Also the entry fee is only $5000, which with 15 people is a total of $75,000 and if the moderator keeps half of each entry fee makes the moderator have a profit of $37,500 before Pegasus vehicles and all of that good stuff is brought into play. It has taken an hour once just to set the lobby up at certain parts of the map. (usually the highest level has to start at the top of mount Chilliad) It's all really good fun though. We were in a double or nothing match and a friend of mine walked away with 150k and whatever loot he got from each player. just doing this alone, within a two hours time he leveled up from 36 to 47. ELEVEN LEVELS. and it was really fun just to be the moderator (really comes in handy with the invincible glitch) and destroy people at random, have them respawn and then set bounties on people's heads until the game is over. Needless to say. Your guys' ideas are REALLY fun :D

How does the money stuff work? Say I'm in the game and I want to pay off the moderator to get intel. My cash option is always grayed out. Riddle me that and I'm up for testing this out. Sounds fun. Beats the same phone missions over and over
